So are you saying you are supposed to eat back the exercise calories?
-
Can you please explain this? I have the Charge HR and MFP is showing 1,055 exercise calories so far for today, which includes a workout this morning burning almost 700 calories. My calorie goal set by MFP is 1200.

I got the charge HR a little over a month ago and I love it. I like that I can monitor my heart rate while at the gym and I think it helps me keep better tabs on what I'm actually burning.

Thank you all. I'm sure it's something along the lines of water weight. I've been weighing and logging everything and I have my Fitbit synced. I am going to take measurements this weekend with my hubby's help. I've been watching what I eat, or at least trying to, for months now. So I know I'm not going to have those big…

So I just logged my weekly weigh in and no change from last Friday. :( I've been eating under my calorie goal every day, I weigh and measure everything I put in my mouth, and I've been busting my butt at the gym everyday. I have my Fitbit synced, so I trust the calorie burn. I know weight loss isn't linear and its not the…

I am in the same boat here. I am not quite 5'8" and would like to lose 40-50 pound myself.
-
Yes, I do have negative adjustments enabled. I set my activity level in MFP as sedentary because I'm not overly active throughout the day. After the gym I typically take my kids to the pool and lounge on a chair. (Please, no judgements ;) ) Like for today it says I burnt 670 during my workout which is probably pretty darn…

Those activity calories are from my Fitbit syncing with MFP. I do not log my workouts as I track them in my Fitbit and don't want to duplicate those.

Ok, not trying to hijack but I also don't want to start a new thread. I have this same question. I'm 38, 5'7", 205 lbs. I have a sedentary lifestyle. But I do go to the gym daily. MFP has my calorie goal at 1203. My calories earned from activity so far today is 869. This usually ends at around 950-1000. Should I be eating…

I would wear it where intended but even watch that. I had a One and switched to the Charge HR. I always wore my One on my bra strap. I chaperoned a field trip one day for my sons class and rode a school bus. Now, I'm a little bustier and the ride was bumpy, but by the time we arrived the One said I had climbed 79 floors!…

No worries. I probably didn't give enough info in my initial post.
-
It was a loss of about 3 pound last week. Guess I should clarify that.

I know. I'm just irritated. I guess in my mind I figure since I have so much to lose, I should still see something. I've done this before so I know there are weeks with loss, weeks with gains and weeks of lulls. But there's still that part of me that would love to get on the scale and see it just melting away!

Thank you all. I am weighing and measuring everything I put in my mouth. 1200 is the goal MFP gave me with no exercise. On any given day, I earn 900-1100 exercise calories (I have my Fitbit synced to MFP), so I don't think eating an additional 300 is the culprit. It is likely water retention but I am just so frustrated…

I typically weigh myself every morning but am debating on going to once a week. I think it's motivating to see any decrease daily but at the same time a slight increase can be discouraging.
-
Good idea. I love peanut butter.
-
So do you recommend just doing the egg whites?
-
I typically eat 2 hard boiled eggs and a banana before I hit the gym. I really don't want to overthink this, as I have a tendency to do that. Just want a little extra energy.
-
Thank you all for the suggestions. Looks like a trip to Vitamin Shoppe or GNC is on my agenda tomorrow.
-
Ha! I have a cup of coffee every morning but it doesn't do much. And I think I'll pass on the cocaine.

I really like my Fitbit Charge HR. It's easy to setup and use and I'm able to link it to my MFP account.
