  • The feeling taller thing is a bit of posture but I also think it's due to your centre of gravity changing. I've noticed that just from doing some simple exercises my balance has improved hugely! Also being lighter makes it easier to recover my balance when tipping too
  • I'm only 2 months into my weight loss journey and I've already lost 24 pounds. I started at 188lbs and am now 164lbs ( I haven't weighed myself this week yet) I weigh myself once a week and eat clean and healthy 98% of the time with 5 x 1 hour gym trips a week. My goal weight is 128lbs.
  • I just got one a couple days ago and I love mine.
  • They make you dependent on them. Once you stop taking them the weight comes flying back. My mom tried herbal magic ( it's a weight loss gimmick here in Canada) and she gained all the weight back. Best bet is a great healthy eating plan with some moderate exercise just to keep you active.
  • Every woman and every baby is different. I had the same starting weight with both my babies and with my son I gained about 26 pounds and with my daughter I gained 40! The best you can do is eat healthy and try to stay active. Cravings will try to overcome. With my son I craved cheese burgers from McDonald's. I'm back to my…
  • 2 eggs with salsa and 2 pieces of chicken bacon. 228 cals
  • I would eat as healthy and clean as possible while trying to not over eat. Fruits, veggies , leans meats etc.
  • Thanks. I do weights 5 times a week normally so maybe I'll make one day all cardio. I'm doing a squat challenge for the month of August and then thinking a plank challenge for sept. I'm excited to drop these 36 pounds by next summer.
  • I'm completely satisfied with what I eat and I never eat my exercise calories ( they are low since I don't do much calories and work from home so there isn't much walking) a calorie burned is a calorie burned so yes more cardio will help the pounds come off but I didn't know if I should do more weights the rest of my trips…
  • How short? It might sound stupid but I just watched extreme weight loss the other day and had a person with 4'5 in height and she had a very low BMR so everything she lost was purely through exercise. I do pretty good myself I'm 5'4 and eat 1200 calories a day , exercise 5 times a week and lose about 1-2 pounds weekly with…
  • I have mirena in for the last almost 2 months and I'm losing weight really well. I've lost 24 pounds since having it in and still losing an average of 1-2 pounds per week with clean eating and exercise
  • I make chicken fajitas or tacos but instead of the shell I use romain lettuce leaves. I also make spaghetti using spaghetti squash as the noodles. Mexican chicken- can of black beans, can of chickpeas, jar of salsa , sprinkle of favourite seasoning, mix all together and pour over 5 chicken breasts in oven safe dish , bake…
  • That's good! You should be very proud! For a lot of people they don't stop. They keep stuffing themselves and can stretch the new pouch out just as big as their full sized stomach. I have a cousin that did this and now she's even bigger then she was before the surgery! I'm proud of you
  • Congrats! How much have you lost so far?
  • I've seen people get the bypass surgery and gain even more weight because they aren't adjusting to eating properly afterwards. Or I've seen them eat so much that they are puking afterwards. Either way you need to be in the right mind set
  • My husband was having a hard time at first but now he's completely on board with eating how I do ( he allows more cheats then I do but he's got less to lose) I like to take meals I enjoy and make them healthy. We make tacos/fajitas on romain lettuce leafs or spaghetti with spaghetti squash for noodles instead of pasta…
  • Anything that comes easy isn't worth achieving. I started off low carb but I've added them back in except rice, pasta, white breads and potatoes. I eat fruits and granola. Healthy eating and some moderate exercise is the best thing for your body. " dieting " isn't the way to go.
  • I've been losing for almost 2 months now. Down 20 something pounds already with just eating healthy and logging plus working out 4 times a week. I'm just disappointed with the 1 pound a week. I still have 37 to go and want it to come off closer to 2 pounds a week at least for a little while longer. I feel like I'm kidding…
  • Loooooove it!!!! Hahah
  • I'm 5'4 165lbs and I wear a large top due to large breasts and I wear a 11/12 pant US. My goal is a size 6 and 128 pounds ish. It's coming off slowly but I think I need to reevaluate what I'm eating and the portion sizes etc. I feel like for what I weigh I wear a big size. My thighs determine my pant size. Sad fact lol
  • Adipose refers to fat tissue
  • Thanks good to know. I've got 38 pounds to shed off then I'll work on lifting more. I do weights and cardio right now but I'm mostly working on building my strength. I have none what so ever. Some days I'm amazed I can stand haha
  • so as i suspected...you really have no weight to lose...you're at the low end of a healthy weight for your stats. hmmm...my spidey senses are telling me that maybe there are some other issues here...[/quote] Exactly what I'm thinking.
  • I try to aim for my protein goals. I'm unsure if I should have a shake or bar on non gym days but I guess it couldn't hurt. I'm currently hitting the gym 4 times a week and will be upping that amount once the colder months get here. Which for Canada is in 2 months lol
  • Shopping for that new size 6 or 8 wardrobe! I love to shop but lately I've only bought shoes, bags and makeup. And I haven't even felt pretty enough for the makeup lately :disappointed: I currently wear a size 11/12 which is about the highest no plus size. Ick.
  • Thanks! I am trying to lose weight. I've got 38 pounds to go to my goal and have been losing 1-2 pounds a week which is good I know. Just didn't know if I could bump it some with anything extra. My brain is wired to wanting instant results  I've got to stop that.
  • I weigh myself weekly on Saturdays or Sunday's first thing in the morning and naked. If I weighed myself daily I would obsess over it and it wouldn't make me a very good person. I've got 38 pounds to go and am losing approx 1-2 pounds a week so I'm happy with that.
  • SW 188lbs CW 166lbs GW 128. I've got 38 pounds to go.
  • The weight gain can be muscle mass added. Are you drinking enough water? .5 oz per pound that you weigh is a good amount. I drink 76oz to 90oz per day.
  • Mfp will give results if it's at least 1000 calories a day. I try to eat between 1000-1200 a day and I'm always under 1200 unless it's a gym day and it always shows me progress reports
