Two things: 1. Starting to see my jaw line firm up rather than looking so soft 2. Donated clothing that I could still wear although a bit large...bought those outfits because they fit, not because I liked them. I'll spend the money on new before I wear those drab style free things again!

I travel quite a bit, and make use of the local Whole foods when possible - I try to hit their salad bar, or soup, or sushi for lunch with a yogurt and fruit. For restaurants I do a lot of fish and chicken with salads.

I'm not at 1200, but I'm pretty close. I often have at meal of breakfast, a ham or turkey sandwich on whole wheat for lunch with an apple or orange and side salad, and sautéed chicken with two types of veg for supper. If I have calories available I'll also add in cheese at lunch and a starch at dinner. It's pretty basic…

I was shocked when I had the 110 measurement, but losing weight did the trick. It's great that we are all moving towards better health!

I would also recommend looking at your blood calcium levels - as mentioned earlier a problem with your parathyroid can cause all kinds of issues

Thanks guys :)

I thought it was possibly a coincidence, but I also was aware that body fat can affect hormones. I guess I'll restart the clock on menopause :)

I know this is late to the conversation, but thought I'd add my two cents When I first started losing I couldn't face the number on the scale, so I bought a quantum scale...it registers your initial weight without showing you the number, and with future weigh ins it tells you how much lower or higher you are compared to…

Awesome!

I have no problem with people posting their successes on FB, and I'm very happy for them, but that is just not me. Unless you are a very close friend I don't want comments asking how much weight I've lost now that I'm going down anymore than I would have wanted questions about how I had gained the weight :). I always…

260 calories from a yogurt made with whole milk. I think the higher fat helps keep me satisfied through the morning

Thanks guys!

I'm on the road all the time for work, and I find it helpful to take some fresh vegetables, fruit and almonds along for snacking or to fill in the nutritional gaps in a fast food meal. I have a chill bag that can go into the freezer every night and keep things nice and cold

I spent the summer wearing the same poorly fitting dresses and skirts because that was all I had that would fit me. After losing 15 lbs I can now fit in many of my fall clothes nicely, and will have better choices in how I present myself. 25 more lbs to go, but this is a victory for me!

I have almonds in my car all the time - healthy and they don't easily go bad

I was put on Zoloft for hot flashes (could not take hormones due to BP issue) and it seems to have an effect on my appetite initially. If nothing else it made it easier for me to start my weight loss and get used to eating less and healthier

Good: Food processor for my kitchen aid mixer - love that the food falls down into a separate bowl. Good, heavy stainless steel pots and pans - easy to cook with and attractive as well

I still eat bread, but avoid it in restaurants due to higher calorie meals and lack of self control with the small loaves the serve.

Not a great victory, but I passed on the bread and oil with pesto at Bonefish grill - and I LOVE that bread :)

I'll vote for Liberte yogurt. It's full fat, so the calories can be high (260/6 oz), but it is one of the most luscious treats I've had in a loooong time. I find a way to have this every few days - totally worth the calories.
