I'm waiting until I'm closer to my goal weight, but I absolutely will be

Awesome work!

Today was my reveal to my father for my weight loss (hadn't seen him since June). I knew to tread carefully as he's quite bull-headed, so I said I had cut grains out entirely and was very low carb. Surprisingly he was totally on board - chuckled and said that carbs are terrible for people, so what am I eating, lots of…

hahaha my hubby went back to carbs (he's doing P90x3 and feels better on them) about 6 weeks ago and I'm getting so annoyed - he is SO gassy and it is AWFUL. I never do, so the fact that he can clear the room every 15 minutes is driving me insane.

I started July 8 and I'm pretty sure my next weigh-in will bring me to 50 lbs lost. Hubby has lost 70 :)
-
!!!!!! amazing results! Curious, how did your sister do?
-
I love your pictures and updates about your trip!
-
Congratulations!!! I'm on the cusp of 50 lbs lost, and totally know where you're coming from!

My cauliflower pizza never turns out nicely even though I strain the heck out of it!

if I feel like I want a big meal I plan a bunch of low-calorie foods that have a higher volume, that way I can 'eat and eat and eat' and not knock things way out of my macros.

I'm back! Trip went well, I was really proud of myself. Lots of terrible food choices at every turn and it was unlimited booze and I stuck with water. I didn't eat anything until we got to the pregame bar last night and then had a 2 hour blitz or so where I ate foods I normally never would. Then this morning I ate at the…

I completely agree that they aren't necessary, but I eat them anyway because I enjoy them! I dont have them every day (none today for example), but I do regularly eat veggies. Yum!

Curious how quickly you guys regain weight when you stop fasting? I do a 48 hourish fast over the weekend and normally don't weigh in until Tues/Wed but I wanted a general idea of where I'm at before I'm out of town for 2 days. My weight is pretty low - 4.2 lbs down?!? I normally wouldnt even consider that most of that…

oh boy feeling pretty excited. I don't normally weigh in while fasting but I was super curious and weighed-in this morning about 36 hours into my 48 hour fast. I was down 3.7 lbs, and it was right out of the shower so my quite long hair was soaking wet. I'm really hoping at least 2.5 lbs of that sticks!

I hear you! My SIL attacks this lifestyle outrageously. The other day she made a comment to the effect of her cholesterol being very low because she eats the opposite way of me (she's a former vegetarian and doesnt eat much meat, she's very high carb simply because she doesn't like much else). Amusing because I bet her…

I didn't lose this week or last week. Super disappointed (I didnt fast two weeks ago though). I think my cortisol is up though, I worked 58 hours the week I didnt fast and 52 the week I did. No other changes and the 58 hour week was actually my T.O.M so I had expected a significant swoosh last week. My big work function is…

I set a 75 lb loss reward before even starting - a new PAX wardrobe (It's like a big customizable armoire for those who don't know it, but it's IKEA). We don't have a huge closet and my clothing currently ranges from size 9-22 (I'm in an 18) so I have a LOT of clothes in storage. So excited to get to the point where I'm in…

My goal is 150 lbs, but I'd love to be 145. The lowest adult weight I've been is 135 lbs and its too thin for my liking.

Ahhh I am so excited! I lost 3.3 lbs from the fast, 3.6 overall this week! I did a 45 hour fast which I broke 24 hours ago so I'm hoping that all of this sticks. That is a HUGE weight loss for me, and to get it two weeks in a row is so invigorating. I have a huge work function for 2 days next month will our biggest…

I started at 3 times a day, dropped to twice a day around 1.5 months in (and breakfast was a BPC), and now I'm strictly dinner. It works for me, and honestly I love it. Super convenient and I dont feel like I only got a couple of snacks to stay in my calorie range. I will definitely go back up once I'm in maintenance and…

.... down 3.3 lbs!!!!!!!!!!

I did a 36 hour water fast earlier this week, but didn't follow the recipe. I'm hoping within the next couple of weeks I get on track with it all. I was impressed with how easy it was, but my husband wasn't in love with it. He is Keto and has no issues with that WOE but thinks water fasting is a bit extreme. Easy for him…

We definitely go in kicks of the same food items on rotation, but then we'll switch to something else for another few weeks. For example, 2 months ago we were eating spinach salad as a side every single day (and LOVING IT), now we're definitely on a cauliflower casserole kick and I haven't had a spinach salad in weeks. We…

It's a bit easier for me because my hubby was on board before we actually started our lifestyle change, but when I was starting to consider it I started reading him snippets of the books/articles that interested me. He had some persistent minor medical issues that were addressed as possible symptoms of gluten intolerance,…

I see all of our regulars above. We bulk buy our meat when it goes on sale (bone-in, skin-on thighs, boneless skinless thighs, ground beef, shrimp, and bacon primarily) and then manage to go a few weeks off of what is in our freezer and only need to replace the produce. We buy our vitamins and protein powder in large…

Wow 800 cals is LOW, glad you upped them! My husband and I are just barely over 3 months in and he has lost 60 lbs and I'm a bit shy of 40. It definitely is possible, and we've been doing it without working out. Also very low carb :) Congrats
-
I wouldnt cut any further back on your protein, just try to be patient.

FANTASTIC!!!!! Great work, I hope I'm just as successful in 14 months :)

Keliandra, ditto... I had to be around 15lbs heavier than I am now. I had fallen off the clean eating wagon hard about 2 months earlier with just one meal and was months away from learning about ketosis.
