  • I got the fitbit charge without the HR monitor a few months ago and returned it 2 days later. it was insanely inaccurate - it had no idea if I was walking around or simply playing with my kids, washing the dishes etc., the count was way off. You find the HR version better?
  • Also down 1.5 lbs this week :)
  • I just did the zumbas.. even on the third time I didn't have it quite down but I didnt feel as clumsy as the first one. Planning to do the first responders workout tomorrow, Thurs at the latest.
  • So my opinion isnt super credible as I JUST started protein powder yesterday, but in trying to decide I did a couple of hours research last week. I got the North Coast Naturals 100% Whey in Chocolate and have Optimum Nutrition in Cookies n Cream on it's way. Both are supposed to be delicious with water, which was a major…
  • Use it as fuel!!! I signed up for the biometric clinic at work for next month, and am nervous as hell (especially as they take the measurements in a room with like 6-7 other people! I don't want to hear my body fat percentage, nevermind a bunch of my coworkers hearing it!!) but I'm choosing this for motivation. It's going…
  • First responder here, completed the challenges and met my personal goals.
  • Started with 110 to lose, I'm down 25.
  • Ive made it on again but we'll see how long it lasts. 5 toddlers on my own this weekend (my sister is at a wedding) and good friggin lord you'd think the 3 1.5 year olds would be the challenge. NOPE! It's the 3 and 3.5 year old who will NOT get along. Struggling to not eat crap right now so badly!!
  • I completed everything and met my goals :) I was hoping the gore card would be open as I might have difficulty making it back on tonight, but I'll try to log in before bed.
  • I dont have much to add, but will say that after a couple of weeks of huge losses I suddenly had a low weight loss week (I think it was week 3). I purposely only weigh in weekly to avoid the yoyo of emotions. I used to work 80 hours a week in a high stress job and it was awful, I cant imagine doing more than that. It's…
  • down .5 this week but its TOM sooo
  • I did the fitness test, and it was awful. I knew it wouldnt be good, but it was really horrific. My husband watched for my form and wouldnt accept any of my push ups, not impressed. I finished the mile in under 20 minutes (16:55) and had set a goal of 18, so I guess there's that. Am I missing something on the squat video?…
  • Everyone who knows we're doing this knows we don't eat fast food. We track EVERYTHING we eat, and measure it out. I'm sure once we are in maintenance we will start again, but for the time being we aren't at all. The only exception is unavoidable client meetings and I still do as well as I can (and there are maybe 4 a…
  • The fitness test doesn't need to be completed in one session? Sorry, newbie question I guess, but I totally figured it would be a requirement.
  • Amazing!!!
  • I started July 8, goal loss is 110 lbs, I have 85 left to go
  • yup I'm super cautious. I started with saying I cut out all grains and meal plan well in advance and don't deviate from it at all, and that I massively upped my water. In time I started testing the waters with coworkers who seemed curious, and found out that one of them lost 80! lbs on keto 2 years ago. It's been awesome…
  • Congratulations!!!!!! Great work! (and your tummy looks awesome, super motivating for me as I started as a size 22!)
  • Just curious, are you guys paying huge $ out of pocket for lab work? I contacted some local places that run them and it was really expensive so I didn't do it.
  • Also Canadian, also did not know what SAD was hahahaha
  • No problem, I'm going to send you a PM
  • hahaha re: bulletproof coffee, we were reluctant but yes, we do! Not salted, of course! We blend it in, and if you use coconut oil as well it has a really nice nutty flavour. I've had my coworkers try it, everyone has said it's the best coffee they have ever had. You DO need to introduce fat slowly, there's an adaption…
  • Most people are VERY successful losing eating this way, which I personally would attribute largely to an unusual ability to have some resolve! It's unusual how easily we are sticking to this, and genuinely controlling our diets. My husband is losing INSANELY quickly (40 lbs in 6 weeks, was about 265 and 6'0") but his Dr…
  • we are completely grain free, and about 3 weeks in my husband had a burger patty at his company picnic. I'm talking one of those tiny 4 oz or so ones. He spent the next day in the bathroom. I havent cheated yet, and don't intend to. He plans on going off the rails at Christmas and maybe Thanksgiving (to be fair he'll be…
  • I'm down about 2.5 lbs, I'm thrilled. I havent been amazing with my water (trainee at my desk most of the day, its messing things up!!!) so I was expecting to have gained some water weight back.
  • My name is Erin and this is my first challenge! I'm 6 weeks into this journey and am excited for a fun and motivating 6 weeks! My goals are: 1) Absolutely no 'cheating' on what I eat, everything needs to be tracked 2) Lose at least 1 lb a week 3) Stay under my calorie goals at least 6 days a week
  • I love this thread
  • I haven't cut them all the way out (they're handy filler, colourful, and a good way to soak up fatty sauces/dressings, PLUS they're delicious!), but I don't eat as much as people who know I'm grain-free probably think I do. My husband and I eat a LOT of spinach and celery, we eat zucchini a couple of times a week, and have…
  • 5 weeks in and within days my adult acne started to clear up and I didnt break out at my TOM this past cycle. My teeth are friggin AMAZING, and I just use crest 3d white toothpaste so it has to be my change in diet. No difference in my hair or nails. I did get the keto rash though, it started at the base of my spine and…
  • I personally find high fat moderate protein so incredibly easy to follow. Hubby and I both adopted this a little over 5 weeks ago and it's going extremely well. We went cold turkey and it's been a lifestyle change that was very easy to switch to
