  • Just looking back at your diary it does look like your cheat days are literally eliminating your deficit. Do you ever look at the net weekly calories found in the app? That will tell you your net calories over any given week week and I bet if you look back a few weeks you will see that you are pretty much breaking even.
  • You can lose weight without working out. You can't do much of anything without sleep.
  • 5'7" and went from 210 to 140. No extra skin.
  • I don't really stay away. I eat ice cream pretty much every day, I just make sure I have room in my calorie budget to fit it in. When you have reasonable portion control it isn't really a question of avoidance so much as a question of planning.
  • I do find that when I up my mileage I see an increase in weight of a pound or two, which I have always attributed to water weight, as my diet and logging are very consistent.   • The last 10 pounds are pretty much the same as any other 10 pounds. Track meticulously, eat in a deficit, and be patient. You may have to adjust your intake if you have lost a decent amount of weight to compensate for the fact that your smaller body now need less energy to maintain itself.
  • I started running when I quit smoking. It helped me connect a tangible benefit (i.e. being able to run farther and with less discomfort) to quitting and the knowledge that the running would get harder if I started again helped motivate me to stick with it.
