Wanna start 2016 right so having sweet stuff at the strike of midnight!!! Xmas cake, butter cookie, dried grapes made by my colleague's wife and jeju mandarin! Happy New Year all and may 2016 be as full of sweet & delicious things!

Today's bento was roasted veggies, bread & paneer with rillettes, tossed with mixed mizuna and wild rocket with pine nuts & balsamic vinegar. Dessert was a jeju mandarin.

After X'mas is ... leftovers, LOL! Roasted veggies with bread, paneer which was later transformed into bread soup with chestnuts, carrots and leftover roast duck. Dessert was jeju mandarins ... simple but yummy.

Yesterday's meal was at a subway sushi joint meal - sake don, chawanmushi, tamago and iced lemon tea. I avoided the miso soup because it was so msg-ladened. Lunch was potluck with the colleagues so it was mixed salad and pork rib noodles. After all that food, I decided a simple dinner was in order. Asparagus sauteed with rillette and served with soft boiled eggs, followed by some yoghurt.

Not quite a bento post but a bento-related post. Just organised my bento area - still needs a bit more work and it is obviously slanted but I fixed that after I saw the photo. LOL.

Working like a dog so dinner was a simple pot of kimchi tossed with asparagus, halibut and two soft boiled eggs. Dessert was deep fried banana fritters with melted After Eights and some strawberry cheesecake and New York Fudge Crunch ice cream ... and my usual cardamon tea.

My lunch the last two days were out with friends and colleagues - nasi padang and chicken chop hor fun, so tonight I thought I would have a simple dinner of bread, rillettes, asparagus & green apples.

Today's Bearly Bento featured sammiches made of my friend's freshly baked artisan baguette, bacon, dated sour cream, pine nuts & lettuce with some oranges and lychees.

Today was a rainy day so I had mutton soup for lunch, nasi bryani for dinner and toasted baguette with dated sour cream, cardamon tea, strawberry cheesecake ice cream and mango mouse cake for dessert. I swear I did not mean to have so much dessert but a neighbour brought the cake over just as I was making dessert.

Lunch was fresh artisan baguette with sour cream mixed with dates and pine nuts. Dinner was carrot and coriander soup with sweet potato loaded with the same sour cream mix and fried chicken wings.

Was lucky to score some fresh baked, artisan baguette from a friend so that was my lunch. Nicely toasted with some sour cream mixed with dates and pine nuts (not shown as it was gobbled up before I managed to take a photo!). I used my new Poohbento too! LOL

An Italian pig-out on the weekend and so I tried to be sensible today and just had a pizza for lunch and sushi and a honey sweet potato with sour cream, dates & honey for dessert.

Had to work overtime again so it was comfort food in a hurry. I call this my chips and bacon bake made form leftover McDonalds chips, bacon, cheese, sour cream and eggs ... not the healthiest but I swear I will walk it off tomorrow!

My bento was pretty simple today but I used my rice ball shaker to make my minced beef rice balls. Had a ball ... pfffttt

Rainy night so I got me some Chinese hotpot. Spicy!

Lunch was salt baked chicken wrap and dinner was scallops with garlic and crawfish. Tea and dessert were mille crepes - chocolate & tiramisu. Yes, I will have to walk like a demon tomorrow to work these off!

Another food fair which means ... *head desk* Giant prawn noodles, coconut jelly with caramel pudding, salty caramel mille crepes and claypot rice ... all in one day. Sigh.

Lunch was lychee stuffed with duck, marinated in green curry & hot chilli scallop sauce, with coriander and pinenuts, served on curry udon, with strawberries & oranges for dessert.
