Started the day with breakfast in Chinatown with kaya toast and coffee, then had a poori set for lunch and naughtily, Chinese egg tarts and tea for supper.

Today I brought Bento Beng to work with me, all filled with veggies pasta. Threw on more cheese, gave him a couple of dings in the microwave and a hot lunch was served.

Been ill so have not had time to make bentoes as much but today I managed a bakwa sammich with some stewed root vegetables. The sammiches were huge so I ended up only consuming one and the other got stuffed back into Babi Bento for dinner. LOL

I love that movie. Loved the cartoons as a kid and was caught many times trying to swing from rafter to rafter via a rope, yelling, "George, George, George of the jungle ..." "For Gawd's sake, you demon spawn, get off those rafters or it would not be the tree you'll be watching out for!" ... LOL.

Had miso ramen for lunch because I was at a fair. Still awfully flu-ey so all I wanted for dinner was hot soup. Tada, tapas of soft bread with sour cream+cream cheese+dill, and marinated smoked salmon, grilled squid and carrot coriander soup with some of the sour cream mix. I felt marginally human again after that.

Bearly Bento went to work with me full of last night's dinner leftovers. Grilled bacon wrapped courgettes, French toast croutons & paneer, more roasted courgettes and paneer and some choccie biccies topped with cream cheese and strawberries.

Made some bacon wrapped paneer, courgettes & berber-spiced French toast croutons for dinner and kept some leftovers for my bento tomorrow. Also made a dessert of chocolate biccies slathered with cream cheese & topped with Korean strawberries which I am also packing into Bearly Bento.

Spent the night restoring some furniture so was absolutely knackered but luckily I had the foresight to put some stewed vegetables soup in the slow cooker so I was not starvin' marvin in the morning. Another Big Walk day so it was a kimchi tofu stew with beef and a hazelnut ice blended to keep me going. After that huge meal, dinner was a simple one-pot marinated beef with sesame rice with a poached egg and stewed vegetables soup. Amazingly, I did not have space for dessert ... horrors!

Haha, actually I cook 75% of the time but for my lunch bento as I work evenings and only come home at around 10 or 11 at night. Those posts go to the bento thread here. I eat out on most weekends as I do my big walks then or meet up with my friends :)
