@Orphia We don't have a parkrun no. Is just something we came up a few months ago. Every week a make a facebook event and invite people to run togheter. We now have quite a few regulars and we see new faces every week. It's great. Also you get to make running friends and take them on with you during the week. @MobyCarp…

The aim for August will be 220 km (136 miles). But I still got a run tomorrow to fill in my July quota. And you better watch out folks. My new kinvaras came with the latest tech in anti-gravity propulsion.

@kristinegift GOOOOAAAALLL Very very nice run today with the gang. Had a tempo workout so we did 5k at 4:45 min/km. Felt really easy and I could still talk but not comfortably, because we did it at 6 AM and damn it was so good to run in acceptable weather conditions. Nailed the pace also. One guy raced the 5k but it's fine…

Today was like the worst day ever. I had a recovery run after yesterday 200 m repeats. As I laced up it started raining and I was like "yeeeee running in the rain" but it stopped before I started the run and the sun came up. 10 min and fog started to appear. This means humidity was around 100%. And boy I felt it. My heart…

@skippygirlsmom So far the only picture that I look good in is the one in my profile. And I staged it. In all pics from races I look awful :smiley: Date.....Distance..Avg hr/Pace/km July 1 - 7.7 km - 148/6:09 July 2 - 5.8 km - 147/6:56 July 3 - 11.6km - 151/6:22 July 4 - rest July 5 - 7.0 km - 149/6:34 July 6 - 6.5 km -…

@_nikkiwolf_ I got them from wiggle uk. This was the first pair I got online and it fit. Also I ordered one yesterday from runningwarehouse cause I had a discount voucher from a recent race. Says it comes friday. I really hope it fits as well cause I never wore a Saucony Kinvara before. Also I could never buy Adidas shoes…

Tell me about it. Felt so good today to run in new shoes. I would like to try some Brooks but they aren't really a thing in my country yet. Very few stores have them. Also I hate Asics too. Not sure why, I just don't like them
-
@5512bf Adidas Energy Boost 3. For neutral pronation. Fits me like a glove. Really comfy. The upper is pretty elastic too. Can't complain. They are pretty heavy though so I still need a lighter shoe for faster training and racing
-
@greenolivetree No ideea but I would guess yes. I didn't want blue but because I wear size 12 UK I don't have much choice in colors @skippygirlsmom I also wait for a pair of kinvaras. I hope they fit so I don't need to wait another 2 weeks. I spent way too much on shoes already that I'm afraid to check my balance

So today was supposed to be rest day. Then the mail lady called "Hello Sir, there is a large box for you to pick up" HELLO SHOES So it would have been pure madness to live with these brand new shoes till tommorow and not run in them. So rest day. 3.4 km Date.....Distance..Avg hr/Pace/km July 1 - 7.7 km - 148/6:09 July 2 -…

@Amandajs232 It was 9-10 PM. So evening. Garmin says it was 80 degrees and at 7:50 min/mile pace if felt like 100. Granted that picture was in the last lap so after around 40 min of running Edit: An interesting talk about how elite athletes train and how the training evolved over the years.…

Recovery runs are great. You start with heavy, tired stiff legs and after 15 min it's all gone and you feel great. Edit: Some pictures poped up and I look pretty demonic :))) Also it was hot as you can see. And random doggo Personal note: Buy shorter shorts asap Date.....Distance..Avg hr/Pace/km July 1 - 7.7 km - 148/6:09…

@_nikkiwolf_ You won't find them on strava. It was in a park. Just imagine a road that in 20 meters ascends 5 or more. It was like 30 degrees steep, completely killing your momentum. Oh and if it makes you feel better I'm about 250 euros poorer but I can go to 2 races and got a pair (or two) of shoes that must arrive soon
-
A word of advice. Pure road bikes are usually the most fragile off all bikes and more expensive to maintain. I'd recommend looking into a trekking bike
-
@louubelle16 If I didn't record my run how would anyone know it happened :)) ? @katharmonic You have a week left and another 20 miles to go. I'd say you can make it @9voice9 2 hours is a lot of time to spend quietly without music :)) Don't worry everyone has bad days too. Right now I didn't had a rest day in 11 days and…

@Orphia Well it's not a streak since I have like 4 rest days in a month. I'm considering running at least a mile on my day off to get the streak kudos from random strangers and brag to my running friends about it
-
Yea I got fat shamed a lot when I was fat. I didn't like it but they were right in some ways. I was fat because I was eating too much. No way around it. It affected me and I decided to make a change. 1 year later I was down 90 pounds and at an almost normal bmi now (26). Some of my friends still tease me but It doesn't…
-
@MobyCarp Hahaha so fast you became a blur Today my base building it's over. Yay. After 11 weeks of base building I'm feeling great. Today I had some 200 and 400 at a 4 min/km pace and damn I forgot how hard (and good) is too run fast. Luckily the recovery was equal in length so the whole workout was not too hard. A note…
