  • @louubelle16 I'd go for some blood tests anyway, even if they are skewed. Can't hurt and maybe they indicate what it's wrong with you like low iron or some other minerals, vitamins etc
  • @Orphia Huray. Judging by those splits it got harder at the end. But you did it anyway. • @ereck44 I'm still loosing weight but I don't try too hard anymore. I'm quite ok now but technically still overweight. BMI 25.9 and 25 is cutoff. I lose like 1 kg per 3 weeks. Still want to go like 5 kg or so and then maybe I'll be good

  • @kristinegift Tempo pace is tricky. It's always a little bit slower than you thing. It's very easy to run faster than that but that's the idea. It's not supposed to be hard and fast. I always tell myself to think about running fast then slow down about 30 seconds per km and that's my tempo pace Date.....Distance..Avg…
  • Had a really awful workout today. Don't know how but I made the mistake of not eating all day and I ate then realized I had to go run in 40 min and I was feeling so full. The run went fine, felt a little hard and hr was way up but considering the humidity and the +90 degrees it was fine. The problem was that as soon as I…
  • You have no idea how good it felt to throw that sweaty tshirt off. It was like I was FREEEEEEEE
  • 7 km today with 2x1600 m at tempo pace. It was nice doing a speed workout after all this time. I'll add one workout from now on for the next 3-4 weeks until my base building is complete. Nothing hard, just tempo runs and not going over 20 min total running at T pace. My base building is almost over. I got the next week at…
  • @river4rosas Welcome to the group then @Orphia That looks really awesome I wore glasses today because it was so sunny and I think I should invest in a not so cheap pair as these hurt my nose Date.....Distance..Avg hr/Pace/km June 1 - 6.1 km - 156/5:47 June 2 - 5.5 km - 154/6:00 June 3 - 5.0 km - 153/6:12 June 4 - 7.0 km -…
  • Great run today with the group. Had some new people coming and some of them never ran before. I decided to stay in the back and play the pacer and moral support. It was quite entertaining and made some new friends. One girl ended up hating on me but we took some walking breaks and we made it to the end. Another one was a…
  • @louubelle16 My run today was also awful. I went up at 9 PM and it was still 90 degrees. Holy *kitten* it was hard. Had to stop like 5 times to cool down a bit. I still got to make courage to run shirtless I guess but I don't thing it would have helped much. On a scale of 1-10 I would classify this run as hell At least I…
  • Ok I think I caught up with the thread, been kinda busy. At some point there was some eclair talk and now I want one, definitely gonna get one tomorrow. Gonna skip my post run ice-cream :) It's getting pretty hot around here and today it passed 90 degrees. Tomorrow they declared a code orange on the temp (not as bad as…

  • @MNLittleFinn If the bib is the kind that glues on you should still use pins anyway Today was hot. And damp. An one point I started exhaling steam, just like in the winter. The temp was around 75 degrees. And I was becoming a steam locomotive. Choo Choo. I was pretty sure I was still dreaming cause that shouldn't be…

  • Group time trial today. Tried to do my 5k PR and do an actuall progression on slits. Progression went fine (4:38, 4:26, 4:23, 4:23, 4:13) but not as good as I hoped. Last two were supposed to be 4:00 and under 4 but guess I estimated wrong. Didn't beat my pr but came close to it at a 22:14. The interesting part is my heart…
  • Don't try to get mileage. Any training you do that hurts you does more to hurt you. Just rest till you feel fine. You will be amazed how little fitness you will lose and also how fast you will get back.
  • Maybe running right after lifting 240 lbs a few times from the ground is not the smartest idea. • Don't burst my bubble I just have an excuse to buy cereals and I shall have cereals, haven't had any in months :)) I'll buy a low dose Iron Supplement, nothing major I don't want to get too much. I can find them from 10 mg to 100 mg but the daily ratio is something like 10 mg so I think I will go with something like that.…
  • Today I picked up my blood tests and found out my serum iron levels are low (as I suspected). I never eat the iron foods (liver, red meat, spinach, sea food etc). Last time I had red meat was like in December. The good news is most of my other tests (except from high lymphocyte that might be because my body is in constant…

  • If you feel that you need to take a day off just do it.
  • So far it happened to me in the last 2 5ks. Probably because they are more common and not a lot of fast people join. So there usually a pack of them in the lead and the rest of the runners are casual runners that run easy and +30 min. So this leaves us in the middle. I find that in longer distance things balance out.…
  • @MobyCarp Oh no. People that won them are under 18 min. I'm in the wasteland. Just far enough the top men so I can't see them and just fast enough from the rest of the runners so I can't see them. With that time in a "casual race" like this I usually come in top 30 or so. Best I got was 10th place.
  • Race information What? Race for the Cure When? June 4, 2016 How far? 5k Goals Goal Description.....Completed? • Today I was forced to put my run in the middle of the day. High noon. Almost 30C (86F). Decided to do it anyway, thought it would be a fun experiment. Damn it was hard. And like the sun wasn't enough, the air was way too humid from last night. I felt like a truck. Had to run slower and it felt heavier. Garmin even decided…

  • How do you guys take your cutback weeks? Do you still run the same amount of days or just shorten all the runs. I have one next week and I though I'd just skip one run and cut the long run in half
