I would suggest going to Walmart and checking out the fitness aisle. I got a cheapo $5 pedometer there a few years back (I just checked online- they still have it). All it does is count steps. If the goal is to see "where I am" and adjust it to "where I want to be" that's a nice cheap starting point.

STAY under 200. I made it to 185 and gained back 20. I keep jump roping over the 200 line, and when I'm over 200 I have a lot of issues with my lower back (or I guess, I didn't have any problems for the several months I was under 200!) I had a sciatica flare up a couple weeks ago and getting back to working out is hard…

I still have a weakness for sweets, however I'm trying to find better sweets to indulge myself with. The fiber one mint brownies are great. I also have a bowl of tootsie rolls at my desk at work for when I need a nibble. (14 pieces for 130 calories? I only need a pick-me-up, maybe 3 or 4 a day, so yes please!)

Challenge Starting Weight: 203.4 Challenge Goal Weight: 185 (which would get me back to my record lowest and set me up for the next/final 20!) Week 1 (08/01) - n/a Week 2 (08/08) - 206.7 (I'm not listening, that did not happen, I blame eating out morning-noon-and-night for 4 days lalalalala) Week 3 (08/15) - 204.0 Week 4…

Let's see, since August 1? Me: 5 Binge: 6 Ironically when I was out of town and eating out 3 times a day I gave to myself. Maybe I was more conscious of my intake since I knew there was only so much I could do around calories and workouts living out of a suitcase! The days I get home from work are the worst :( Past is…

Just got a 26 (moderate)- sounds about right. I'm usually good but there are certain foods and situations that will cause me to lose all direction. I've been really bad the last few weeks and slipped back into my "you're home from work, eat until the boyfriend gets home!" habits. And then I eat a normal dinner. And I've…

You can absolutely do it! Even if you don't reach some huge weight loss goal, anything will make a difference. I started at 245 and after only 5 pounds people were telling me how thin my face looked. I second darcie: focus on the do, not the when! It took me 2 years to lose my first 60 but I was in the same spot as you- no…

I'm in! (Late of course) I had a vacation last weekend and I haven't gotten back into the groove of things yet. Maybe I'll do better being accountable to a group and not just myself! August is rough anyways, especially this year... large family gathering (out of town) and TWO family birthdays. Challenge Starting Weight:…
