I'll attest to the issues. Gave myself a case of tachycardia that will not be forgotten!

Don't worry about potassium. I was very concerned, found a way to ingest a lot. An hour later my heart rate 110 bpm. Eat veggies, fish etc. No mega doses.

Glad you are better. Dehydration can do funny things.

Nope, no suckers. Just a life long distaste for anyone who takes advantage of the people who can't help themselves. Don't get me started on financial advisors or annuity salespeople.

The worst are any who cause older, feeble, or poor people to spend needed money on garbage they know won't work(all the the diet aids). The people who push anything like that should be on the bottom of the ocean with whale excrement.

Thank you for sharing your story. It's one I need to keep front and center. I worked with a guy who had neuropathy(wasn't diabetic), I saw how much pain he was in. He wasn't a guy who complained about anything, but you could see how it impacted him. Best wishes to you.

It's a common thing to do on display. If it had the decimal many people are confused. This app is used internationally and punctuation like that is regionally different. In some places 9.5 would be 9,5. Then everyone is confused.

It's great on cooked cabbage.

I knew an orange guy, he ate carrots nonstop. His weight was great.

If he's making you uncomfortable, I have no doubt, time to notify the management. If that doesn't work, drop a weight on his toes.

Does OA suggest abstinence from sugar or one member? In other 12 step groups there's a notion about individual members opinions. Kinda like we're sick people trying to get well. Not everyone has their stuff together. I might seek out others who have long term success.

I gain and lose 5 pounds every 24 hours.

Are you on any meds? That's a side effect of some. That rate is in the normal range, if you get dizzy or disoriented that's a problem.
-
I remember a guy who had one on his wrist. He occasionally had someone give it a bible treatment* probably for show. He claimed it didn't bother him. I'd go with the least invasive option. * you whack the cyst with a bible or similarly large book.

Something to add to all the veggies is sun dried tomatoes. They're sweet and bring a nice taste to the omelette.

The folks who sell that kind of magic drinks are interested in one thing. How much of your money can I make mine?

Ginger ale or 7-up is my goto. NO ICE! Your likely to lose any fluids that have water in them. I had Salmonella once and after 48 hours in the bathroom with a bucket I finally went to the ER. They kept me for 3 days, IV fluids and nothing to eat. When I got a little better they allowed Jello, chicken broth, icemilk, ginger…

Calories work for weight loss. I just had my blood work done and the excess carbs and fats are a problem for me. Don't get me wrong, lose the weight. Pay as much attention to the macros as you want to. You will lose weight, in the future you may or may not need to focus more on macros.

Love cabbage. Wife and I tried it years ago and no way no how. Smelled so nasty and tasted the same.

Congratulations! Great posts and congratulations to all. My last was Aug 17, 2000 after a neurosurgeon told me to stop! You won't believe how the world smells, including food and smokers. I think the great smell and taste helps some gain. I didn't, at least then, you don't have to. CICO doesn't know if you smoke. For me…

Is there a reason your afraid to? Popcorn is fine unless there's a medical reason. I recall an uncle who was diabetic, one of the few snacks he was able to enjoy.

You might try to face North while you take that stuff. I have no idea what that will do, but many times cows face North(in the northern hemisphere) while they sleep. It's a fairly inexpensive lesson to learn now.

They don't educate, sometimes they really don't understand themselves. I was on 100 mg of atenelol for years RHR of 55. After about 15 years I felt bad, dizzy all the time. Finally go to the ER with chest pain(probably mild panic attack) and falling down dizzy. Spent a night in an ICU bed, for observation. One person…

The best is crab legs and Swiss cheese.

It's about a workload. It takes this much energy to move X weight Y distance. Take the beta blocker.

I have known people who do that with beer. Not a tablespoon but salted beer. Think it's a Midwest thing.
-
Perhaps people misspoke about sugar vs sodium. I watch sodium and soft drinks are not on my radar.

Not much for calories but it does unreal things for some. DW was 130 and a size 8. After several months she'd lost 6 pounds, had to buy size four.

I won't eat them. Had an old blind dog at a sawmill, he ate mostly what guys fed him from their lunch. Tried to feed him one, he walked off.
