Being a stay at home mom is a job that is highly undervalued. Keep a log of the positive things you do each day. In fact, make time each evening to ask your kids what they enjoyed that you did together. Take time to read to each other! There are tons of kids who do not have a mom and would give anything to be in that spot.…

Yum, yum and yum. Now off to the fridge to see if Costco's Mozzarella will fit the specs :)

Thanks!

Great links. I had found the first one but wonder what oil to use. I have been using coconut and avocado oil for most of my recent cooking. I would think avocado would have a more neutral flavor for this recipe. The second link about making own spice and spice racks is interesting. My youngest son is into too many things,…

yep... same here. I was doing decently, then right at the first of the year, got off LC for a variety of not great reasons. Trying to eat better the last few days, and sure enough, my extreme melancholy and emotional regret, sadness, hopelessness is popping back up. Fortunately going into ketosis this time has not produced…

Uncooked potato starch or corn starch are one way to keep a diabetic's glucose from crashing in the night and dying. It gets processed very slowly and I tried to see if it made a difference to my glucose in the morning as I was trying to avoid what is known as the dawn phenomenon. It didn't so...I stopped. I am thinking…

Thanks so much. Hmmmm ... Never had heard of no sugar honey. The one referenced still had quite a bit of carbs, so I will keep looking. Recipes look yummy! Still hoping to find a non liquid mix, so if anyone knows a secret, please spill!

Kroger has multiple names. In Arizona, it is Fry's. And I just had a vanilla one for a snack. At 40 cents each, it is also a great value.

Sounds tasty. What hot dog do you recommend that has less artificial junk and nitrites and low carb?

not sarcastic at all.... nah....

First, congratulations! I fully agree on the toxic load theory. Also the liver is critically important in ridding the body of toxins and it can be supported by supplementation. I too have noticed a skin difference but not to the level you have. Again, yeah!

Could you try melatonin? For the best advice, stop into a health food store to consult the book prescription for nutritional healing. It is full of recommendations. Best wishes for a full night's sleep.

Thanks for sharing. I found this product while recipe, ingredient surfing last night, so glad to know it is a good one. Does anyone know if it can be frozen in small quantities?

Sow a seed: help someone who is in worse shape. They will get some help and you will feel better knowing you helped.

is there a coconut cream sold in the USA that does not have the chemicals in it? I think it was metabisulfite or something like that.

maybe the study was sponsored by an Hcg diet ?

I am surprised that there is not an egg to bind it. Did it melt quickly after it was set up? And if you did you substitute vanilla extract, how much?

120. ok considering I fell asleep before taking the metformin

congrats! I know how difficult that is.

better today at 110. I have been eating frequent lower carb or low quantity items. Post-meal testing shows decent numbers. @judyvalentine512 - hope your pancreatitis flares subside :)

Hi. I'm a high school teacher, and yes, it is exhausting. Overall, my goal is get down to 125-ish pounds. I'd lost about 25 pounds from June to October, stalled then gained 12 back over the last 2 months due to monetary stress. Lack of adequate pay equals its own stress. Teaching has very different stressors than many…

it is likely due to a disruption of natural cortisol cycles but I do not know where I would send you for info. Have you tried magnesium, calcium, potassium, melatonin? My natural doctor prescribed me a product called Cortisol Manager. It has several different herbs, etc. Might look into that. I do notice when I take it…

@judyvalentine512 - that is called God having your back. Listen to Him. Feel better.

bad: 128 this morning fasting and after one piece of banana bread it was 155. It normally is not that high, but these allergies or cold seems to be putting everything higher. Somebody know of a list of recommendations for diabetic foods when sick? ? It seems the ADA still has a lot of sugar and I do not really feel like…

Thayer's slippery elm lozenges. Apparently they make a sugar free version with .15 carb each. I have tried the regular ones and they work well. Now, if I can find them in sugar-free....

I didn't "get" coffee until I went to France. There, the coffee tastes like it smells... wonderful. Now that Jamaican coffee sounds interesting. Couldn't afford it, even if I found it! For now, Circle K's decaf is keeping me company. Certainly not fancy, but it works.

Are the surveys tied to health insurance rates or other money penalties?
