Hi, my name is Lynn. I am a carb-aholic. My fbs for the last month has been incredibly high... around 189. I need to be here, get back into a better diet and loose the weight I have gained in the last 7 months. I am only on metformin 2000mg per day but am wondering if I need more meds at this time. You can throw me a…

113 this morning. Not sure what it was the last 2 weeks since I was away from home, definitely off diet but tons of walking around. 12 or more miles a day so I took a break from worrying about the numbers. Back to normal routine..

118 this morning. Got a1c result 6.0. It is ok with the doc PA but not me. She said I need to be not too hard on myself. New lady, cannot stand her. I have had lots of stress, headaches so I am not surprised with a 6. Actually surprised it is not higher since usually some bad carbs lower the pain. I want to go doc shopping.

I do not have any experience with Weightwatchers, but do with gluten free. There are many more Gf options now but one thing likely has not changed. Many of the Gf flour types used have an extremely high glycemic index which will raise insulin levels. That will make it more difficult to drop fat from the body. In my case, I…

I completely agree with reactive hypo being a form of diabetes. As I had this and am now diabetic, I wish I had gone lower carb back then. It is important that you test your glucose every meal for a while to get a real picture of how your body reacts to food. Test in 30 min increments. You may also wish to use supplements.…

Costco sells MusclePharm 5 lbs cookies and cream protein powder. It has flavoring, additives but is low carb and tastes delicious. Other places sell in smaller quantities but if you do not like it, Costco return policy is unbeatable.

117. I tried adding more nighttime medicine instead of breaking it up into morning and night. So even though I had super bad stuff yesterday and my daytime levels were higher due to food, maybe taking all meds at night will work better. Just need to eliminate the unhealthy food/drinks during the day.
