  • Just do it and ignore the comments, if you're losing weight and getting good results that will motivate you , why would you need to care ? Eventually it all boils down to motivation and motivation comes from results. You can start to build the muscles later after you reach a nice level.

  • It could be water weight, the best tell tale sign to check whether you're on burning fat or not is your thirst and acetone breath. Water retention is dependent on sodium intake.
  • I am prolly qualifies as I've been there done that, my advice is don't lose it and start working out again. I lost 70 pounds before and gained it back after 5 years... Now I am fighting it back, one habit at a time... The most accurate word is 'insidious' , these bad habits creeps back in slowly and will surely destroy you.
  • Just do carb backloading. Skip breakfast, no carb on lunch or skip lunch, train in the evening and eat your bad carbs at night with decent protein.
