If you don't eat enough calories, you'll lose lots of muscle mass and trash your metabolism. https://www.nytimes.com/2016/05/02/health/biggest-loser-weight-loss.html?_r=0 One of my fellow weight loss coaches ate one meal a day and ended up over 400 lbs. So those of you berating someone who says they aren't eating but are…

Looking at your food log, your protein too low, calories too low (especially for all the activity you are doing) and your sugars are a little high. If you'd like more detailed help, feel free to message me.

Herbalife Prepare is amazing. Herbalife24.com for details. Very clean, NSF tested (every batch). I strongly disagree with drinking high sugary drinks and lots of caffeine... caffeine constricts blood vessels... something like Prepare helps open up blood vessels increasing flow of oxygen and nutrients to your muscles.

Read Nutrient Timing by Dr. John Ivy... great book really details how to eat for max muscle gains. be careful of the dosage on creatine if you decide to do that.

A good meal replacement shake can make life a lot easier and fill in nutritional gaps. Food prep can help. I can prepare meals for 5-6 days on Sunday and just grab and go. It just takes me an hour.

Congrats! 50lbs is life changing!

thank you! I started in a weight loss challenge and lost 24lbs in 12 weeks by changing my nutrition. I got more active and over 11 months I was at minus 68 lbs... average 1 1/2 lbs a week. 80% nutrition, 20% workout and being consistent.

What I love is... - looking and feeling younger - having to buy a whole new wardrobe - being able to do the active things I love do to like skiing - having more energy - healthier skin and hair - off all meds - being an example to my family, friends and community - helping others do the same

I lost over 80lbs and have very little loose skin. That usually happens if you lose it too fast.

Don't know for sure without having it measured which is what I recommended. People focus too much on the weight and get discouraged. If she is gaining fat, it's about the meal plan. 80% nutrition, 20% workout

For me it was first finding a program that worked for me... something I could live with long term. If you starve yourself down, you won't be able to maintain it. It's about getting strong and healthy and making a lifestyle change. I started hanging out with like minded people either in process or having reached their…

Gaining muscle is great! You can be much smaller and weigh more IF it's muscle trading for fat. If you have access to get your metabolic numbers done, that can tell you what's happening. If not, try measuring and see if you are losing inches. What is your goal?

I was overweight in junior high but was ok by high school. Then yoyo'd up and down over the years but not too bad until menopause. By 59 I was 48.9% body fat and had resigned myself to being there.... thought it was just getting old. I am now in the BEST shape of my life at 64. It's never too late to figure it out and turn…

Great advice.

First I recommend getting your metabolic numbers done so you can see where your body fat and muscle mass are. I am in the best shape of my life and weigh more than when I was in my 20s. It's not about the weight, it's about your size... right? And I also believe from what you posted that you aren't eating enough. I've…

I started in a weight loss challenge which was really a nutrition class is disguise. Learned alot and also used meal replacements for two meals, then healthy snacks and a healthy meal. Works like a charm and not starving, lots of energy. This changed my life so much, I now help others do the same.

I love it, thanks! I do get that comment a lot. Eating healthy and a healthy lifestyle is the fountain of youth

You can do it! What is your strategy?

The trouble is most people are getting way too much sugar. And yes it does make a different what kind of balance foods your calories are coming from. Your body needs a balance of carbs, protein and fats. There are good carbs which are complex carbs such as sweet potato, brown rice, etc. The simple carbs are like sugar. The…

I help people with their nutrition but am not a doctor or medical professional. I usually recommend to my clients 40% carbs, 35% protein, 25% fats. The other thing to keep in mind is eating often, every 2 1/2 to 3 hours. You may also want to consider supplements to boost the nutritional content.

22% body is not fat unless you are trying to do a bikini competition. 25% or less is healthy. If you lost a lot of lean mass on your diet, you probably weren't enough enough calories and/or protein which causes you to burn muscle and keep fat. Have you had your body fat tested? Find someone with a Tanita scale to check. I…

You not eating enough. Starving yourself will make you lose weight but is not sustainable and or healthy. If you'd like more details on a healthy example, feel free to message me. I've lost over 80 lbs and kept it off over 3 years.
