  • Congrats! I'm still working towards my mile non stop, but I'll get there eventually
  • Again it's personal preference and a great place to find out what your preferences are is a gym. I have a hanging bag set up, all kinds of yoga equipment (I'm an instructor so it's easy for me to find things I need to further my practice), and I'm getting a treadmill here soon because I always stop running once the snow…

  • Thank you! I'm just getting back into running after a while off so I do a fair bit of walking with a little running mixed in lol. The challenges and the people at work are what keeps me going so I'm loving it right now. I've just got to figure out how to not go crazy on mileage during this streak since I didn't have a lot…

Since I don't have high weekly mileage there are going to be a lot of 1 mile runs for a while!

  • I have a friend who had a Rhodesian Ridgeback and they are pretty good if you are looking for an exercise partner. Her's could handle the heat and humidity plus she would bike crazy miles and the pup could keep up, she just had to build her mileage slowly over time.

  • Slow start this month... I'm an early morning runner and the cold and dark isn't helping my motivation! Then wearing cute shoes all day at work doesn't help my afternoon motivation since my feet hurt! Going to have to figure out how to afford a treadmill so I can run in the morning. My goal is to not repeat my pattern of…
  • I want to go hunting so bad, only got out once last year and this year isn't looking too good either... I envy you right now!!
  • The only time I noticed a difference in the taste of fresh vs. store bought eggs was when I ordered some from a restaurant after having had my chickens for about a year. The store bought just didn't have as good a flavor as my fresh eggs had. We haven't eaten any of our chickens yet... they are still laying eggs and I have…
  • The one that is getting me right now is soup. Who the heck eats half a can of soup at a time?? Considering figuring out how to make my own soup, not what what I buy is super high in calories but it irritates me to have to put that I ate two servings of it just to feel like I ate something!
  • I also eat at least 2 eggs a day. I have my own chickens so it makes it easy to get in a few a day. As long as you are eating a variety of foods throughout your day I wouldn't worry about eating eggs during meals or as snacks. I just had my biometrics done for a work wellness program and my cholesterol is great!
  • Didn't even get close to my last month goal because life... In for 20km this month, go small and maybe actually reach it!
  • If you split your lifting into what body parts you are working that day then I would suggest running before working your legs. If you are doing upper body weights that day then you should be fine running before or after. Just listen to what your body is telling you, and it seems to be saying that running after lifting…
  • The gym I go to has spray bottles and towels at about every other machine. They also have signs asking people to spray the towel and not the machine. So I typically will spray the towel and go to whatever machine I want to wipe down. It may be different depending on the gym.
  • I basically see DOMS as a price to pay at times. I don't always get it, but when I do I pop a couple of IBUProfen and drink lots of water to help it go away as quickly as possible.
  • Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness. So basicly it's why you are after a workout and sometimes up to several days later!
  • This right here has helped me the most. It's almost like creating your own written plan to follow. I know some people who don't do well with logging at the start of the day/week, but I also like to have a plan to stick to and this allows me to do just that! I also have some friends at work who did WW in the past and still…
