Packing fruit is always my way to deal with international travel. Peaches. Bananas and apples are great. The rest I just eat airline food :)

You'll get there! What's your timeframe and current weight if you don't mind me asking?

So inspiring. Thanks for sharing

Hmm I don't weigh my food but l do log it pretty diligently. I try not to do it during the meal and focus on my BF. Then once we finish I usually casually ask him if it's ok I take a few seconds to log my food. This actually serves as a reminder for him too. When I ask him it's not for permission but to politely give him a…

Thanks everyone! We are all in it together!

I love this too. Simple and delicious. For those who like it spicy. This suggested dish with some Siracha dip is great.

Hope you enjoy! The soup is particularly useful for dinners. I make a huge pot on Sunday nights and that will last me three dinners (including Sunday night). It's a great way to feel full and get nutrients without feeling super bloated the next day. I really think this is the reason why i was able to stick to my calorie…

I usually like to add soy milk -- regular soy milk adds in a nutty flavor. Sometimes if i get it from starbucks, they use vanilla soy milk, so that adds a nice touch of subtle sweetness. Otherwise i never add sugar to my coffee. But i understand this is VERY individual preference. some just love it sweet. and some love it…

Im Taiwanese descent -- tofu is often added in the midst of lots of hearty meat dishes. Like braised fatty pork may have carrots and some hard pressed tofu (these types of tofu stay firm even when braised). My buddhist grandma who is vegetarian probably influenced a lot of our diet growing up :)

Btw, if you really love cold but sweet coffee drinks -- one potential way you could have a treat without splurging 500 calories is to order a regular iced coffee -- then just add in vanilla soy milk. the sweetness is subtle and adds a nutty flavor. And can save you a ton of calories. :)

Ah interesting. What goals do endurance training achieve? I get the sense thAt it does not build muscle mass so then what does it actually do for you?
-
Thank you this is helpful
-
Haha yeah because I realized that you had already answered my question :).
-
Ah this is helpful thank you

Oh my gosh what a common sense obvious idea. This is awesome. Great method.

One of my friends who is a very healthy lifestyler and is a yoga teacher does 1-2 day juice cleanse to restart her palette. Not to clean her system or to lose weight. But to refocus her tastebuds and habits. And she only does it every 6 months.

Haha so right :) Bananas for me are also the filler snacks that's pretty effective

Thanks everyone. This is very helpful. I'll weigh myself when I get home (I live in a different state). On another note. Having broth based soup that contains veggies and meat has really really really helped with my diet and feeling full and healthy. It's been a miracle change for my diet.

Hahaha "they're not all beige". This made me chuckle :)

Is it filled with chemicals? Haha you just blew my mind

Had vegetarian split pea soup (veg stock) loaded with celery and carrots. And also salmon sashimi with avocado. Two bites of rice with the sashimi and I tossed the rest of the rice

Congrats!! You are making great progress. :)

Said no to wine when I took a walk with the BF and hung out at an outdoor cafe near the water. Instead I asked for a seltzer water with crushed mint and lime. Also said no to BF giving me an extra portion of delicious braised pork belly.

I have a super busy schedule so I can empathize with not having enough time in the morning. I would suggest this. Sunday nights just hard boil a dozen eggs. And take two in the morning with you along with a banana. I find bananas to be very filling and economical option for snacking and for on the go.

Take smaller bites also. I find that with flavorful foods I tend to eat more so if I take smaller bites I still feel satisfied without having stuffed myself.

This is what I'm doing and I've lost 6 lbs in 13 days! For the days when I don't have 10,000 steps I will walk in place at home until I hit 10,000. My iPhone records those steps. For days that I do hit 10,000 I do a bit toning while watching tv. Usually I will pick a target area (like arms) until I fatigue those muscles.…
