Oh god alcohol is terrible for weight loss. I know once I cut out alcohol, staying within my calorie target was soooo much easier.

My mom is 65 and is between a size zero and size two. She eats healthy but often throughout the day and goes dancing twice a week plus walks to the library every day to read (2 miles round trip).

I have a super busy schedule so it's hard to hit the gym. But I try to squeeze in 10,000 steps every day. On the weekend I sometimes do yoga. And at times I dance in my room like a crazy person to music that I love. There are some great advice in the posts above. Do what is enjoyable to you first then scale up to other…

Hahahhaha maybe. All my euro friends gained weight once they moved to the states. It's just the portion sizes. Because in France the food is high calorie too - lots of bread and butter (omg but the bread yum) and cream sauces. Belgium has high cal food. German food just straight up sucks. Spanish food is also high calorie.…

I get what you mean. I don't drink soda. Not really juice either. And I don't have a sweet tooth. Plus I walk a ton given where I live. Yet I am not at my ideal weight. Turns out my portions really are just too big and it's too salty :)

Love this!!!!

Instead of forskolin I totally read foreskin.

Love this thread. BF and I have been thinking about getting a dog. But since we don't want it to get lonely we are thinking about a small dog that can fit in a bag so I can bring it to work

Awesome. Thanks for sharing. This forum has been such a wealth of knowledge and mutual support
-
Great. Thanks so much for your input

Hahahah I love it! Im a geeky gamer girl too. My BF and I would have "game date nights" where we play Civilization against each other. Love everything you are into.

I would say for now stick to this forum for support. This is a safe place to share your journey. Sorry to hear your family and loved ones aren't as supportive as they can be. Keep your chin up!

I buy a lot of dresses so even if I shrink, I can put a belt on it and it will still look ok. Im a size 10 now and looking to be a size 6 (around 20 - 25 lb loss). I think most of my clothes now will still look fine when I reach size 8. Then once I reach size 6, i will look at how I could redo my wardrobe.

I live somewhere with lots of delivery options. I tend to order sushi or dumpling soups. Delicious options that fit my calorie plan. I also tend to keep peaches or bananas in hand so I can snack on them with a big glass of water before ordering food. Because it's super tempting to add in a bunch of other stuff to the order

Haha amazing. All it needed was the small tweak of size of the band

That's a great suggestion. Thank you. The rolling thing is so terrible and that happens to women of all sizes apparently (I asked some slim gfs and they had the same challenge.

Dying. Love this so much

Haha did you read my mind? I was about to post on a similar topic this morning. I am definitely slimmer and less bloated than 30 days ago. But the scale stayed largely the same the past week (I did lose about 6 lbs since the start though but those 6 lbs came off the first two weeks). I don't really know what's happening…

The jockey one is easy to get into :)

Dying. Hhahahhahahhaha

First. Allow me to give you a virtual hug. This is very tough and I truly feel for you. I've dated someone for 1.5 years who had bipolar illness which at times manifested in psychosis. So I know just a tiny bit of what you may have had to deal with. Second, 32 is young!! Life is just beginning and there are bright things…

Thank you all amazing ladies for sharing

Awesome thanks!

Any specific kind you love? So far I just got the shorts. Did you try any tank top versions etc? Does the edge curl up or down when you sit down?
-
You look fantastic. Congratulations!!!!!

I would throw on my sneakers. Go for a long walk. Feel good about the walk. And think about how good it will feel every day to get moving.

I love that multiple people have mentioned patience. I think that is probably the hardest. As a lack of patience probably contributes to people giving up so soon. I am only 30 days in but I love my new lifestyle and my progress. Here are some of mine: 1. Eating healthier (more fruits, veggies, water) which as a result…

This is a very interesting question. I do echo a lot of the sentiments here that health and fitness starts with yourself. However, if we are to be honest. In a dating market, like attracts like (gross generalization of course). It's (for the lack of a better description) an optimization exercise of choosing the best mate…

I weigh daily. But try to look at the trend line to see a general downward slope. My BF said something really changed my thinking. He said this is about building a sustainable healthy way to live. And half of the battle in the beginning as I'm trying to lose weight is managing hunger. So as long as I hit my daily goal I…

Feeling confident and great about myself. And optimistic about my new sustainable healthy lifestyle.
