  • I'm 5'3½ and weighed 250lb back in July 2015. I now weigh 191lb (hooray for ONEderland!). A total loss so far of 59lb with another 16lb to go (to start with). It can be done!
  • @chnkysoup - You'll get back into it soon, hope you're okay :-) @iloveeggnog - You've been killing it with the snow shovelling, fab weight losses too :-D I've been ensuring I get lots of water, at least 2 litres a day, but I have been slacking everywhere else. I have given up alcohol for Lent, so I hope that will help…
  • That's amazing! :-3
  • Brought forward losses = 3.0lbs My loss 25/01 = 3.0lbs Total to carry forward = 6.0lbs
  • Right! It's time for action and to set some goals for myself! I have 4½lb left to lose to get 25% of my original bodyweight off. I'm going to aim to do this by the 29th of February. My plan of action is to munch on more fruits and veggies (instead of chocolates and cake) and make sure I get plenty of water.
  • Wish I was that quick off the mark with witty retorts! ;-D
  • Ultimately motivation will come from yourself, so you have to think of all the reasons you want to lose 28kg. Make a list of all these reasons, then put the list somewhere you can see it daily. I'd then encourage you to make a list of all the reasons not to lose weight, because these can sabotage your weight loss. Once…
  • I was 250lb when I started my journey, I'm now down 52lb since July. It is a process, it is not a quick fix. My personal journey included lots of lean meats, veggies and fruits with a few treats inside of my calorie goal. I included some "exercise" that I enjoy doing. That could be anything from walking to cycling. It…
  • After being stuck for nearly three weeks at the same weight, I befriended some people on MFP and joined this group. I finally broke my plateau tonight and would like to thank everyone for their support, statuses and ideas. I'm still exercising and my steps are going well, going to carry this on over Christmas :-3
  • I'm new to fitbit, but I love my Charge HR. I'm starting softly at the moment, but trying to build up to 10,000 steps a day. Feel free to add me https://www.fitbit.com/user/3X7KVB
  • A guy said "Alright, chunky" as I was leaving a pub once (this was after I had lost 1 1/2 stones) My friend said in shock "Did you just hear what he said?!" "Yes" I replied "But why should I care what a beer bellied alcoholic, who is drunk at 3pm in the afternoon, thinks of me?" (I've lost another 2 stone since then. I bet…
  • It was so strange, because up until then, I'd just assumed I was a "normal" weight...mainly because I hadn't weighed in years and because I never allowed people to take my photograph. Even when I was previously in the clothing store I was just "Oh well, they make clothes smaller to save on costs, I'm not really this size"…
  • I've been quite successful in boosting my exercise. I've exercised 5 out of the last 7 days (for at least 30mins at a time) which is a big jump up from 0 out of 7 days, ha ha ha! I also got myself a fitbit, so I can log my steps. I'm aiming for 5,000 steps at the moment, as I'm very sedentary at work and I'd like an…
  • Give it time (make sure you're logging accurately) and honestly it will happen. In the meantime, be kind to yourself, you are so much more than a number on a scale or a size on a clothing rail. :-3

  • Start today! Don't wait, you can do it, you've done it before. Remember why you started your journey and how good you already feel, you don't want to undo any of that :-3
  • The main changes I made to my lifestyle were: ~Drinking lots of water~ I never used to drink much water and I never realised how much it affected my appetite! Now I take a 0.75cl water bottle with me everywhere and drink around 3 litres everyday. ~Cutting down on "treats"~ I feel much fuller and content when I eat whole…
  • Thanks  I'm doing my best to kick myself into touch  #ProgressNotPerfection
  • I identify with this lots! Going into the store and trying on clothes (that I needed to fit my growing body) was something that very much spurred me into losing weight. When I didn't fit into anything, I knew it was time to change.
  • I'm looking forward to not feeling like I'm dying every time I do a little bit of exercise, ha ha! I used to huff and puff just going up stairs, I'm a little better than I was (now I've lost some weight) but I'm still far from where I want to be fitness wise. With my new exercise introduction, hopefully it will boost my…
  • I get like that all the time, I might go off track for a day, then I have a quiet word with myself. I think about where I want to be and I know that the changes that I have made will help me to get there, whether it be in 2 months time or two years time. I also know that this is my lifestyle for the rest of my life now, I…
  • I love this idea! My aim is to do more exercise...anything is better than sitting on my tush all day ;)
  • Hi all! ^_^ I'm 31 years old, 5'5" and live in the UK. Starting weight: 250 Current weight: 204 Goal weight: 170 Looking to lose 80 pounds first-of-all, then who knows, onwards and downwards as I always say. I've been going at this calorie counting lark since July/August and my motivation is wavering slightly, so would…
