You look amazing - if I look anywhere near as good as that, I'd be happy - not that I will EVER get to 165, 180 is going to be enough of a struggle for me!! The more I think about it and after what everyone has said on here, I think that they were just trying to be nice rather than criticise and I guess there is nothing…

I would love to wrestle but over here in the UK, I just can't find a class that is near or at a time that I can get to :(

@rabbitjb :smile: Thank you * I think * haha

Thank you for all the responses guys. Just FYI, I don't go round shouting my goals to people but I was talking to family about a holiday that we're going on next year and said 'oh, by then I'll hopefully be near my goal weight". The holiday is in July next year and they said something along the lines of "you'll have got to…

@azulvioleta6 - I agree, I didn't want a cushy response, I wanted a reaffirmation of what I already know, that I've come a long way but that I've still got a long way to go
-
@yesimpson - Thank you. I love the 'with the greatest of respect' - I basically want the response of 'yes, you are fat enough to lose 4-5 stone'!!! haha Thank you for the advice, I've just heard it so many times and each time its 'its a healthy BMI' and then you get the whole BMI's are rubbish response and its a spiral…

Don't try and lose so aggressively and up your calories so you can eat more - or exercise to get yourself some more calories to use :)
-
@gia07 - I do love running but I also enjoy lifting. My weight had started to plateau with my running through even though my eating habits haven't changed and I'd previously been losing. I've been trying to run further/faster but I find that I just can't break through the 45 minute barrier  Just need to switch…

@AsrarHussain I have no idea how I land and I think this is largely where I am going wrong!! As I say, I know that I have an (ever so) slightly in-turned left foot and this causes me problems sometimes but above and beyond that, I'm not very good at recognizing gaits and foot strikes etc - still a bit of a newbie…
-
@enterdanger - Thank you  I also do weight training and other cardio such as spin, circuit training and bootcamp classes as well as Body Pump classes. I don't run 5k every day - tends to be twice weekly I'll try a 5k and the other two days I'll do about 20-30 minutes of steady running on the treadmill followed by…

@AsrarHussain - I have done couch to 5K and can run 5k outside in a slightly quicker time (probably about 35-36 mins(, but I tend to get a lot of pain in my knee when I run outside :(

Since I posted this in August, I have changed up my workout schedule and joined a gym and tend to do lots of gym workouts now - but now I have a longing to go back to Barre
-
@BrianSharpe - I will have a look at this. I have always had a slightly in-turned left foot which really affects my gait when I run outside on an uneven surface and I found that after a few weeks of running outside every other day, my knee was really giving me a lot of pain. Nothing diagnosed medically, just stopped…

I don't keep a steady pace all the way through - I tend to flit between 7.0kmph up to 10.0kmph over the 40 minutes until I reach 5k, but there isn't a structured routine to it, I just sort of think 'oooh, I can go faster for the next X minutes' or 'I need to slow it down for the next X minutes' if that makes any sense??

A 10 minute drive to the gym for me

I second this, I am up at the crack of dawn whilst my daughter and husband are still fast asleep. I drive to the gym and workout for an hour then come home and get the little one ready for nursery and myself ready for work. It was a chore to begin with but now its just part of everyday life  Consequently, my…

My knees crack every time I bend down or extend them any which way - I'm 26 and they have been doing this since childhood - nothing to worry about, just air bubbles between the joints popping

My goal is to lose 115 and I've lost 50lbs so far (42lbs of it since joining MFP), aside from a 'mommy tummy' which would have been there regardless, I can't say that I've had much trouble with sagging skin and I've lost 5 dress sizes

I'm not sure that I'd even managed to muster up the energy to shower when my little girl was 10 weeks old, let alone exercise!!

Hijacking a little bit here - does that mean that as you get closer to your goal, you should decrease your lbs per week. I started off with 110 lbs to lose and have 68 more to go, should I still aim at 2lbs per week even though I've got less than 75 to lose now? Sorry, just wondering
-
Oh, thank you x

THIS. I hate it when people just look at me like I'm on social media or something when really I'm just on fitnotes looking at what I should be doing next :(
-
Same here with the food scale - I tend not to weigh EVERYTHING but I am happily losing, when it comes to the point that I find myself stuck (which I have done in the past) - then its down to the food scale

I've never understood this 'I need to lose so much weight by such and such event' approach. At none of the weddings/birthdays/christenings that I have attended in the past have I been greeted at the door by a scale to identify exactly how much I weigh! Long and short of it, for sustainable and healthy weight loss, the goal…
