Wow - great work!

So well said! I hope everybody reads this stellar explanation! :)

Crash dieting eats away muscle and scrambles hormones along with other snags which lowers metabolism and makes it easier to gain back all the weight plus a little more. It's the Oprah syndrome... That's why MFP is set up the way it is. My metabolism is crazy high. I eat around 4000 calories per day. This is why I love how…

When I booze it up, I get the munchies. Something happens...and KATIE BAR THE DOOR! Close that buffet, or I eat everything...and I REPEAT MYSELF WHEN I AM HUNGRY. I REPEAT MYSELF WHEN I AM HUNGRY. :p

When I was fat, I had dinner all over again right before bed. I just loved drifting off to sleep wit that ate-so-much-I-hurt feeling. Breaking the night binges was a huge challenge. It was a gradual work in progress until my meals stopped at 7pm. I made sure that final meal was large and balanced. Some nights I failed, but…

Cookies are never really healthy, but so what? >:) Life is to be lived. When I eat cookies, it's for pleasure - not nutrition.

50% Carbs...20% Protein...30% Fat This is what I shoot for without going nuts over it.

Apart from any work from a professional behavioral psychologist [or whatever], my advice is SUCK IT UP AND EAT! Exercise discipline, plan your meals and just eat. It's simple. Plan ahead, and again, just do it. What may not be so simple are your food issues, and nobody here can help with that. Good Luck :)

I don't mean to sound unkind, but I cut ties with anybody not supportive of my goals in life. There's no drama, but I just quietly start distancing myself. Nature abhors a vacuum. Once I closed the door on a relationship, new, better doors opened.

All that's said is good stuff to think about. Here is what worked for me. I associate pain with a lack of self control. I think of my bloated belly, fat as a hog face and Kardashian moobs. I never want to be that guy again. I keep my fat picture handy to keep green that terrible experience while placing my transformed fit…

You won't like this. I stopped playing tennis for 3 months along with various exercises you already know about. I had to get off that court. That's the only way you get better...\\ As for you, find out exactly what caused it, and STOP! Let it heal, then get back to training but smarter with more rest and less stress on…

Yikes, sorry about your situation. That's rough <3 My story involves being physically injured, and I could not train but kept eating like an athlete in training. I bloated up like an inflatable walrus. In 6 months I gained 100 pounds. It took me 2 years to lose the lard, and I have maintained my results going on 3 years…

Yes, lay on a raft and float around using your legs, or just walk around in the water. It's something...

**THIS** And any time you hear "Beach Body", run!

I love Disney - especially all the hidden satanic symbols and subliminal sex messages. haha - just kidding...

This one had me scratching my head as well..lol

I have sworn off boiled octopus, raw monkey brains and roasted cockroaches. Other than this, all foods are ok in moderation. Sometimes I just want a junkie, empty caloried, nutritionally bankrupt treat...like a twinkie with pepper jelly smeared over it...

Lay off weights for a season and take up swimming. This will keep you in great condition without stressing your muscles and joints.

Yep, we all felt this way. Logging my foods showed me how notoriously dishonest I was with my eating.

haha - to everything? I wonder....

Though coffee has zero cholesterol, there has been a link with certain types brewed without a filter. ... ;) Most filtered coffee does not contain much of the oils that may raise LDL risk. Still, I never knew there was even a link, so who knows?

This is the best way to view the issue. Make it fit, and decide if you really want it that bad. I know every gram of added sugar represents 4 empty calories that do nothing but take up space. Sometimes it's just worth it, and most times my goals trump my desires of the moment. A few empty calories here and there won't…

Rest is paramount to ensure steady progress. Sorry, your bf is just wrong. I would suggest that you read up on Over-Training. Google it and just learn, then apply this to your own routines that match your specific needs and expectations. A rest day is more than the body but also your mind and spirit. Even God took a day…

I just drink coffee with nothing - BLACK! I learned to like it. In time your tastes change. The same goes for food in general. Every recipe I had was loaded with salt, sugar and fat...JUST LIKE MOMMY MADE IT! When I first tasted food unsaturated with garbage, it tasted funny, and then I realized what that funny taste was.…

What if I want both? A sound body is an investment that pays off. I am wealthier today in every way just because I worked to become fit and healthy.

Solution: overall compound movements like dead lifts, squats, over-head press and bench press. Supplement this with triceps' isolation training. I specifically like dips...see below... Also, eat and rest well. DONE! For specifics, invest in a solid personal trainer or hit Google and read everything you can. GOOD LUCK…

I embrace most of their general principles about eating whole foods dense in nutrition. My disconnect is when people get dogmatic about diet and such. And I need more meat! Also, I don't much like the “re-calibration period” where certain food groups are eliminated. Life is also to be lived... Good Luck :)

I had this issue and must be aware of my breathing and pace between sets. That cured the problem.

Oh yea? :o TELL THIS TO MY PERSONAL TRAINER!
