I absolutely do not trust the quality of these supplements. Is what I am getting a product that matches the label claim? And you mentioned contaminants. Who knows what's really in those powders? I prefer real foods for protein like beef, chicken, turkey, pork, Greek yogurt, eggs, beans fish. Whole foods are better than any…

Wow, I can do this now, but early in my journey I stained my pillow with tears after caving in to my cravings. Developing discipline takes time for some of us, and to those struggling, it gets easier each time to push through.

^^^^THIS^^^^ The whole bulk/cut cycles are a bodybuilding thing. I enjoyed having an alternative which fit into my own training program.

Mine are 50% carb, 30% fat and 20% protein Is your dietitian selling you supplements or something?

I fast 4 days per week for 16 hours in an effort to maintain weight and lose body fat. It's been a slow process, but I maintained 180lbs and dropped body fat from 23% down to 15%. This was over 2.5 years, so it's not some miracle pill.

^^^THIS^^^ And I'd eat roaches for protein before consuming that powder supplement stuff...

Late nights were my biggest challenge. In my fat times, one of my favorite eating habits was to have dinner all over again just before bed. I just loved that eat-so-much-I-hurt feeling as I drifted off to sleep. That was just the best ;) So, when I began this journey, I had to moderate. Over the months, I backed off my…

It'd be better for you to just consider following MFP recommendations for steady, lasting results. Start today... :)

I did just what you're doing, and my own personal results were stellar. I know experience is not science, but sometimes we hear things debated, and I just need to try things out and measure my own results. Today, I highly moderate all wheat products. My health is better, and though we can't use that to advise others, it's…

I know you want fast results, but a 100 mile hike into the wilderness requires a 100 miles hike out. The short cuts are so very tempting. Check out how MFP works, and consider lasting, steady results that are safe and realistic. Getting Started…

A high 1 max rep deadlift... :# JUST KIDDING! I go with...* body fat % * weight * blood pressure * cholesterol reading * glucose levels * resting heart rate ,

I like to get my fat primarily from nuts, eggs, avocados and real butter. This keeps me in control of my macros, and the rest becomes easy: fresh fruits and veggies, greek, plain yogurt, lean meats and various beans. I highly moderate breads, pasta and sweets as they're mostly empty calories that send me into orbit with…

Cheat days... In my journey, I always looked forward to my weekly food binge. It kept me sane and on track 6 days out of the week, and my average weekly weight loss was .73 pounds after that initial fast 25 pound drop. In just over 2 years, I lost 100 pounds and reached my goals. Cheat days worked for me, and they're fun!…

I don't know if any diet would help me obtain the Victoria Secrets body... :) Instead of striving toward some unrealistic ideal, just work to become the best version of you. It's not rocket science. Eat right, exercise - both cardio and strength. Do this consistently, and over the months, you will improve your health,…

Bus driving is a good way to tone those bat wings - lol :* Seriously, just engage some form of resistance training consistently, and as you lose weight over time, your body will tone up, including your arms. Just give it time, and even when you reach your goal weight, you might still have additional work to do. You may be…

Actually, I pity those who needed surgery. That's a drastic, terrible way to lose weight. In general though, the success of others inspires me. I have friends all further along in life financially, intellectually, emotionally, professionally and some are more athletic, fit and healthy. Success is contagious, and I like…

The moment my wife told me my body was disgusting. She just detests fat people. The man in the mirror can lie, and I could lie to myself, but hearing from her jolted me into reality. Also, this picture... Thank heavens for honesty in a solid relationship! I lost the weight, became fit and healthy and thank her often for…

If your input is correct, eating back those calories is all good. :) The key is to keep your deficits slight. There is no value in crash dieting only to gain it all back like most do. Again, good luck to you!

I love my Taylor Scale - always consistent!

The slow death from fast food is very popular in our society. I used to eat out every meal, and my wife and I laugh about it now, but I used to sneak fast foods while she was trying to help me lose weight. After a healthy breakfast, I pass through McD...and after tossing out her packed, healthy lunch, I'd head to KCF...and…

All I am doing is validating what has already been suggested. Try walking and light resistance using 5 to 10 pound dumbbells. You may want to invest in a $30 Mini-Trampoline.

Nice progress. Keep doing exactly what you are doing. It's not a race.

Everybody I see on that fake tan lotion looks orange. Just get out; get some sun. 30 minutes - 15 per side. Sunshine will do you good, and don't worry about getting dark. Be yourself!

You must decide that your health and fitness is more important than anything. You may fail from time to time - we all do, but giving up must never be an option. That's what most people do: give up. Don't join that herd. They're miserable in life, and you're on your way to something much better. :)
