I am a work in progress and have tried veggies every way. YUK! My disconnect is that I see great value in how they aid to terrific health. I juice a half gallon of my green sludge daily. I have learned to love it, so this may be as good as it gets. My people must have evolved from wolves or something... :p

TOFU My wife prepared this sludge, and it was like cooked mucus. Tofu is why I forever gave up any form of "diet food". :*

I started walking, swimming and performing light strength training. It's a start. Where you end up is all up to you. I lost 100 pounds and now exercise 3 hours every day.
-
For sure! The question for some is which method to achieve a deficit results in a better version of who we become?
-
The correlation might be explained another way. If a person is too lazy and undisciplined to exercise, they're probably too lazy and undisciplined to stick to proper food intake. The excuses for not exercising work just as well when applied to diet. Excuses are extremely versatile and multifaceted.

ha ha - demonstrating absurdity with absurdity. NICE! B)

Diet is more important for general health and wellness, and exercise is more important for physical fitness. When losing weight, becoming physically fit changes the whole way your body functions. Some just won't get that and are satisfied a shrunken version of their current body. Whatever, to each his own, but my goals are…

BINGO! Eat back those calories... Sometimes our progress is stifled when our food intake is too low. Good Luck!
-
Good luck with everything. Medication and diet to address your challenges sounds like the right path. I have found that exercise helps greatly, so consider some forms of strength and cardio. Again, best of luck..and welcome! :)

Right, and this is why I ONLY use my scale for body fat after a long, sweaty workout. I can drop 5 points of "body fat" in 2 hours. :p

Oh wow... Here's something for her inbox...

I agree 100% Herbalife is a pyramid scheme where you're roped in by a friend who wants to sell you over-priced supplement junk, then recruit you into the Herbalife Multi-Level Marketing business. Google Herbalife Scam...or Herbalife pyramid scheme...or Herbalife rip-off... And next time you see your friend... RUN!

Right, if you're making progress, who cares? PARTY ON! Just remember to always gloat over those who can't party like that and see results. B)

Coffee and cigarettes are addictive but cause no such need for extreme detox. Some addictions are more subtle. One sign of addiction is denial...like denying sugar is addictive. :o Just kidding...lol
-
Well said! It's funny how insecure some get when others get results doing something from a differing point of view. ;)

We can't be slaves to daily weight fluctuation. I tracked and recorded daily weight but monitored the general trend. I needed to see a weekly and monthly trend downward or adjustments were made. Good Luck To You :)
-
I like variety, but today I had a broiled 8 oz sirloin, oat meal with blueberries and 3 eggs with a 16 oz freshly juiced drink from various veggies and some fruit.

During my weight loss and part of weight maintenance, yes! I had a weekly cheat day and loved it. It kept me on track. I could push away from bad eating habits during the week, knowing my binge was just days away. I lost 100 pounds this way. At some point I had to cease this, because in weight maintenance doing body…

Yes, every single one of them. The purpose is to maintain a steady deficit and not crash diet which can derail long-term progress.

I still drink fresh, raw, unpasteurized milk. I'll take the real thing or no thanks...

^^^^^THIS^^^^ And I would add...take it slow and enjoy the journey. :)
