Thanks guys, I don't feel so panicky now! I just realised he didn't even ask me how much bread I ate but just to try to cut it out altogether. I rarely go over the mfp pre-programmed daily sodium amount. I am liking the 'make your own' option though

I've been on mfp for a while successfully so weight loss isn't the issue. The doc is more concerned at sodium content generally as he wants me to stop tinned/processed foods too to benefit my general health (no actual heart problems presently and blood screen is clear). I only have a wrap or 2 slices wholemeal once a day…

Everyone has carotid arteries, they are major blood vessels in the neck that supply blood to the brain, neck, and face. Has your doctor diagnosed a condition (in which case I would hope he/she offered a dietian) or just advised a change of diet/lifestyle as a precaution?

I try to keep my 'streak' going too! I guesstimate food to log and try to get a walk in each day. Sounds like you'll be ok for exercise!

Home-popped Popcorn or I have a hot drink if tight on cals, usually Cadbury highlights (40cals).
-
I had this, no real advice given or a number to stay under but I stuck to 25-30g as on MFP and avoided processed foods as usually high in fat cals. Wasn't the most exciting period in my life but it meant I didn't get any flare ups (mine was mainly caused by eating pizza!) Had the op 18mths ago and can eat most fatty things…
-
600 cals left - coffee ice-cream or lemon pancakes?

Dinner time bonus - made Tomato pasta then tipped on the grated cheese, loads fell out and it was blooming gorgeous!

How does an English Muffin become sprouted? My combo is vegemite/cheese toast or cottage cheese with tomato chilli chutney.
-
I love rye bread and pumpernickel bread - denser so higher cals per slice but much tastier, I'm happy to compromise. Don't think I could do no bread at all.

U.K. Member here - no, they're not! Ewwwegh
