I wish you luck, I really do. Whenever you complain of fatigue, and weight gain, docs usually start with thyroid tests, and then a cbc to see if your anemic. If those are both negative, then they kind of throw their hands up.

Usually after 5pm.

I eat 2 graham crackers with 2 tbs of peanut butter when the sugar demons rear their heads. It usually does the trick, plus it gives me a bit of protein.

I am grateful for my boyfriend of 11 years. We were childhood friends, and have been together for over a decade. He is the bestest friend that I could ever have.

You need to see your doctor. Don't get the run around. I had a full blood panel done, and the results emailed to me. I read my own bloodwork, and noticed some troubling trends. I insisted I see the hematologist, and he found that I had an auto immune disease called thrombocytopenia, and another one that caused anemia. He…

If your pill has a score line in it, then you can cut it in half. If not, then no. Here is why. Unscored pills have their ingredients mixed together, and then they are pressed into pill form. The medication can be in any part of the pill, but not uniformly.A scored pill has all of its ingredients equally mixed in all parts…

Wow. I take phentermine too. It is very helpful for those of us that are used to eating an entire mixing bowl of cereal at one sitting. In the beginning, your stomach is looking for the same volume as it had always gotten. When you start doing portion control, it rebels with nasty hunger pains. The phentermine helps with…

I did this yesterday. I needed almost 400 more calories to get to my 1200, but I was not hungry. Soooo...I noticed my son's lemon crunch cake on the counter. 1/8 of the cake had over 300 calories. I cut that sucker into 8, and ate a piece. Boom....problem solved.

Thank you for this post. I have a 80.00 per week grocery budget for my family of 5. I do it, but it's definitely hard. I am struggling to get a protein allotment in every day because foods that are high in protein are also pricey. Greek yogurt is 5.00 per tub. That has a whole 4 servings in it, and is still far from…

My moment was a combo thing. First, it was that I am healthy as a horse. My BP is 90/70, my A1C is super low, and my cholesterol is well under 100. My hematologist told me that I needed to stay healthy by losing the weight. And, he was right. The second was my boyfriend of 11 years. He is a doll, and loves me totally. I…

Wait, he's been doing it for 6 months.

Thank you for the replies. I do struggle with protein, so I am going to add in some shakes to help. I have a friend that did high protein, 1500 calorie, and very heavy (and dedicated) lifting. He has lost 45lbs, but his muscle is outstanding. I figured that if he can build muscle on a deficit, then I should be able to as…

Actually, orangevalkrie isn't wrong. He is describing a protein sparing modified fast. I did it for two weeks to jump start weight loss. It worked very well. It is a hard routine, but it does its job, and it is used by several supervised weight loss clinics. Again....it's hard, but it does work.

I have pernicious anemia, and my hematology doc has given me a script for a daily multivitamin. I also have to take massive doses of b12, and iron. I feel better when I take the multivitamin, so honestly, it depends. If your body has gone stupid for some reason, then they can benifit you. I also recall an experiment by a…

I make rules for myself. I don't eat before noon, and I try and save most of my allotment for evening when the kids and so are eating dinner. I usually eat something different from them, but that's alright. I also don't go out when I am hungry. If I have to, I eat a pb&j before I go out, and I don't have to worry about…

When I was allowed to finally use my leg, I was allowed to use the stationary bike with my heels only. They may allow you to do that.

Welcome. I am a mother of 4, and new here as well.

I tore my Achilles in half a little over a year ago, and the only type of cardiovascular I could even attempt was booking it in the wheelchair. Are you in a boot?
-
Oh, I know all about what injury can do. I ripped my Achilles right off of my calf muscle. 7 months of no walking will do things to you for sure. I am new too, so however you add people, you are more than welcome to add me.

How does one become "in"? Sorry, but I am new here.

Mfp has me at 1200 calories a day, which is what I have been doing. I did psmf for about 2 weeks, then I transitioned into 1200 calorie. It was better for me to be strict and drastic for a short period. It helped me get over sugar cravings and smaller portions easier. I am fine at 1200, and I get through my workouts with…

I know that 1200 is pretty eww, but I did a protein sparing modified fast for awhile, so 1200 calories is actually a lot compared to that. I do well on it, plus I am female so it's not too bad.

Dangit, I was really hoping. So strength, but not mass. I started lifting heavy this week, so I guess I will just keep on trucking. Thanks.
