The thing about diet coke. It might not have the calories in it, but it will makes you craving sweet things the same as any other sugar. Sugar is an addiction. It doesn't matter what you will feed your addiction with , no calories sugar, or with calories. Your body will crave more. Try to quit diet coke for a month, and…

I swear, one of my colleagues approached me yesterday and said quietly - can I ask you something?. I said - yes. She asked - are you pregnant? I was shocked. I mean seriously.. I'm not even that fat! 150 pounds! Perhaps, on the scale of how slim I was before compare to me now, maybe it might look like this. We have much…

LounMoun. Yes, I try to have balanced division between protein, fat and carbohydrates. However, the percentage of good carbohydrates is higher then fat and protein intake in my diet. I just don't like that much meat, especially chicken or turkey.. I usually have carbohydrates in my breakfast: two brown breaded toast with…

First of all you have to realise that no one is perfect. You are not a super human, and you already have done really well, by loosing 0.5 lb per week. The most important thing now, is not to get disappointed and give up, just because you kind of had two bad days. Just pick yourself up and curry on. You don't just suddenly…

I'm 5'2, my weight is 140 something lb and I really struggle to eat around 1,500 calories per day, so I could loose weight. If I eat this much I always feel hunger, never mind 1,300-1,400 calories! . Normal intake for me (without loosing weight) would be 1,750-1,800 per day.. Maybe I'll get used to lower intake one day

My tip. If you decided to cut out sugar, don't even try to substitute it with sugar free items, like zero sugar lemonade with sucralose sweetener, or a diet coke. All these items will make you crave things several times more then usual. The same goes for all low calories savoury snacks with strong, fake (usually E…

I only was able to loose weight when counting calories in my life. I've counted with some program online (which I tested) that my daily limit for my height and weight is 1,750 calories. If I eat anything more, I will gain weight, if I eat less - loose. if I'll eat 1,500 calories per day, I'll loose 1 kilo per months, if…

I get up at 5.30am, work out till 6.30 am, leave the house by 7.20 am to be at work by 9am. But I don't have a kid. However, I go to bed like you do, around 22.00pm, and fell asleep within 30 min - 40 min. You can get up at 6 am, work out at 7am. Wake up the kid at 7am and carry on with the day. The only problem is to make…

I'd personally add more variety of grains, but that's just me  50 grams of rice as good carbohydrates not a lot to keep you energetic through the day, but then if you cope with it ok, probably not a problem. I personally wouldn't even count bran flakes as serious source of energy, it is over processed, so it is…

For drinks, I absolutely love home made lemonade. You'll need to squeeze juice from couple of lemons, add 1-3 table spoons of maple syrup ( it gives a drink that caramel taste like coke has). Mix it with sparkly water. Add ice. Enjoy!

Fruit parcels from filo pastry. Filo pastry is good, because it's paper thin. Basically shred any fruits, mix it with a bit of honey or maple syrup. Cut filo pastry in to small squares. Take 2-3 squares at the time, put fruit mix in the middle and create a parcel. Put in to over for 6-8 minutes, medium temperature. You can…

What's wrong with eating six times a day in small portions? I've been doing that for couple of months now. Although, mostly its 5 times a day. The theory behind it, is that if you eat two or three times a day, you can get to the point when you feel really hungry. And when you finally consume food, your body most…

The worst advice I get from people & professionals: eat more protein, less carbohydrates, because carbohydrates turns in to sugar in your body, there for it considered bad for you. This screwed me up for ages. How can people go on diet without eating carbohydrates, if this is what give us energy? One time I got to the…
