You have to watch breads also. These damn companies love hiding sugar in bread, and whole food bars. While better than bars that are made out of chemicals, some have as much sugar as candy bars!

I have been building up my home gym as well. I have a treadmill, just got some resistance bands, and I use my chromecast to use YouTube videos on my tv. So I do yoga, Pilates, hiit, pretty much anything my little heart desires lol

I love 90s early 2000s fun alt rock to run to. Offspring, Green Day, Blink 182, 311, Fall Out Boy, etc. It keeps me pumped and having fun

Calories in/calories out is a good plan to a point. If you have a lot of weight to lose, its a very viable starting point. However, once you begin to get into a "healthy" body weight range, you MUST pay attention to what makes up your calories. For example, I like to weigh everyday just to see the changes in my body due to…

I am planning to learn more about proper strength training. I am working at a fitness club now (hello free membership and becoming friends with personal trainers

Truly inspirational John, thanks for sharing. Ok, I'll go. I was always heavy as well. I was physically active, and so I wasn't as heavy as I should have been with my TERRIBLE eating habit. As I became an adult, I realized that it was my eating habits that had to change. While my parents were great people, they did not…

I broke my late night eating habit by just going to bed. I used to wait until the kids were asleep and then ravage the junk food while watching tv! I made myself get into the habit of going to bed when the kids did. Many nights, in the beginning, I would take 2 benadryl 30 minutes before the last kid went to bed, so I'd be…

Amazing and so inspirational! Great work! The only suggestion I could possibly give you is when you're feeling nervous scared that you'll fail, just say out loud to yourself, "I will not fail!" Otherwise, good luck on your already incredible journey!

I often bake them in the oven in large batches for the same reasons. Use some for salad, some for eggs, some for sandwiches, sometimes just to snack on!

I put it in my smoothies everyday

Thank you @distinctlybeautiful I appreciate the help! Trying to figure out how to balance is exhausting sometimes lol

Yes, definitely do not believe everything you read, but I agree with her post as well. When you change from eating fast foods and processed foods to eating healthier, adding in the proper vitamins to your diet there will be a difference in these things. My skin has gotten brighter, my nails stronger, hair more shiny, and…

Ask him to hide the trigger foods when he buys them so you don't even know they are in the house. With that said, if you do see him eating it, try not to chastise him for it. I've had to learn that the hard way too. My hub supports me, but isn't quite ready to give up his terrible eating habits lol.

I adjusted gradually. Went from vanilla creamer, to half & half, to whole milk, to 2% I stopped there because 1% and skim milk taste like cloudy water to me

Definitely! I need someone to yell at me when I'm too lazy to get off my butt and exercise!!

Sparkrecipes.com has great healthy recipes, search around it, I'm sure you can find some to liven up your day!

You can make little trail mix baggies. Some dried fruits, nuts, seeds, popcorn, etc.

Yes, that! I had that food wasting guilt too! But to not waste, and not overeat, I started saving my leftovers! When i go out to eat, I ask for a take home box when I order the food and immediately put half the meal in there. This way I'm not tempted to eat the whole thing. Even if I still feel a little hungry when I…

Way to go walker!!! Definitely a hard habit to kick! But I'm certainly glad I did! I found it easier to change more of my "bad" habits after kicking that one!!!

My kids, no question. I want them to have healthy eating habits, and never have to struggle with their weight. And everyone knows, whatever mom's eating, everyone eats!

Hi, I'm trying to be more active too. I like the idea of friends holding each other accountable! That's my biggest problem, I know I have to exercise and the old "I'll do it later" mindset tends to end up being "I'll do it tomorrow" lol. I'm sending you a friend request. Hopefully we can help each other!

Yes, that surprised me as well, and considering I lived on those it was definitely time to change! I feel so much better and am able to figure out what my body actually wants when cravings strike! But hey, sometimes the body just wants cheesecake lol! I've also gotten into the habit of buying single serving pieces of cake,…

You can do it!!!

I like to weigh myself everyday, just out of curiosity and no matter what, that one horrible week a month i "gain" at least 2-3lbs. As soon as it's over, I'll be 4lbs lighter. Its water retention and bloating DONT GET DISCOURAGED!! Lol

Keep a positive outlook! Even though it's hard now, it will become easier and the results will be AMAZING! Add me if youd like

In my store, hummus is in the deli section near the premade stuff. Usually where they have the containers of potato salads and that stuff. Edamame I've only found frozen by me.
-
I love tuna mixed with salsa! Adds veggies and not much else to it lol. Sometimes I'll just add salad greens, or put it on a wrap
-
No problem! With a good enough blender you can put just about anything in a smoothie lol. I put chickpeas in my higher protein one this morning, couldn't tell at all! Even my kids drank it!
-
I agree, slow and steady wins the race! Cut back little by little and you'll barely realize it! When my sweet tooth hits, I go to the store and will buy a single piece of cake instead of the whole thing. The piece is still way to big, but I cut it in half and eat enough to satisfy me. I find I will always eat more if I…

I've even left it overnight in the fridge and it's still green the next morning. I've also put in raw rinsed quinoa instead of chia seeds, if you have a good blender it'll chop it right up!
