  • Weird. Won't let me put full reply in my first post. @badnoodle Nice-it's hard to do all that in one day. I don't know if I ever hit my calcium  Way to go on the mileage! That's almost 3 mi/day!

  • I'm originally from there. Living in 'murica now. Wraps are great! Better than when I was in school-pierogies lol
  • @ZobiaQureshi Are you Canadian? Mmm, poutine! Eating on the go is difficult to do healthy in school, unless you life on campus and can use the salad bar. But then there's a lot of temptation from other stuff  @RubberDucks2 feel free. I'm always looking for new friends
  • This really helped me when I was looking for low calorie snack foods. I'd recommend hummus or guac (1-2 oz at a time), as the fat (monounsaturated, which is healthy fat) helps keep you full for a long time.
  • Yeah, I only recently overcame stress eating myself. Been doing it before that since I was a kid. What finally worked for me was finding something which also reduces my stress to replace eating. I now blast music and walk around the house  There also medications which can help.
  • @faidwen dang, you're a boss! That's amazing weight loss.
  • I've lost 30 lbs, and have 30 left. Just doing CICO and running. Starting bodyweight workouts next week. Feel free to add me. Nice to keep up with other people and keep each other accountable.
  • As long as you're not a vegetarian, I'd look up the most protein-dense foods. Chicken breast is probably the cheapest, and one of the lowest fat. Pork loin has more fat, but IMO tastes better. Cod has the lowest calories per gram of protein, but is more expensive, and many don't like fish. If you're a vegetarian, lentils…
  • I never knew what this felt like, but lately I've upped my activity so much and only eat healthy/non-packaged foods, that it's usually hard to eat enough to l even hit 2 lbs/week. I'm also on medication that kills my appetite. Today I tried doing a refeed, and couldn't manage despite eating out twice and having way more…
  • Also in NC. Raleigh. Anyone from the area feel free to add me.
  • I graduated in 2012 (also worked while I was in school) and it usually only gets more stressful once you're out. Good for you guys for trying to get a handle on it now. I lost 70 lbs while I was in school and then rebounded 30  . I'm back at it now, lost the 30 I gained, and have the final 30 lb to go. The last 30…
  • @RobinsEgg I'm new to the community, so I didn't get to know you. But I hope you feel better. Hopefully this is just your one step back and you'll do your 2 steps forward sometime soon :)
  • Thanks guys for the warm welcome and for the add, jaded33jade. Nikion901, good luck. You've done it before, so you know you can do it :)
  • I'd like to offer my encouragement (feel free to add me) to anyone facing this challenge. In 2010, I was 260 and my goal was 160. I got down to 190 by 2011 just by counting calories. Shortly after, I rebounded to 225 and stayed there. While I wasn't as big as before, it was still unhealthy; but I rationalized it. Then, I…
  • I eat about 500 above maintenance 1 day every couple of weeks. Basically, when I haven't seen the scale drop for a few days in a row. My weight usually goes up for 1-2 days, probably water weight from the greater amount of food, and then I have a "whoosh" where I drop 1-2 lbs under where I was before the "cheat day." I…
  • Apple Watch does this, as do some of the Fitbits. They take your HR using infrared and/or LED light aimed at your wrist. I've found the Apple Watch calorie estimates to be a lot more accurate than the estimates MFP was using based on just my iPhone (and previously, Fitbit Ultra and Jawbone Up24) steps. For example, MFP…
