I've been sugar free for 16weeks and upped it to keto for last 9 weeks and lost 22kg (48lb) in total. Not hungry at all, now getting more energy, soft skin, and less joint pain. Would love more keto friends for encouragement. This is the longest time I have focused on any WOE and am determined to try anything to stay that…

Sweet potatoes has too high carbs for me on VLCLF <20g. I miss them but only eat low carb veges grown above the ground at present. I have shed 22kg (48lb) in 16 weeks so it works & really sweet potatoes is not worth mucking this all up and loosing the momentum. This is the longest I have stuck to any WOE. I see sweet…

Weights also help with toning whilst loosing weight. Makes your core stronger for older age. Builds muscle so more efficient for fat burning. Both are the yin & yang going hand in hand for weight loss.

Well done. I'm finding that this journey is only as good as the team I have around me. Between my Doctor, MFP community & family I know I couldn't do this for myself on my own. Keep it up.

LCHF is my priority for meal planning & calories in & out are only secondary. If you are trying to stay in ketosis too little calories can affect your results. My Nutritionalist said to measure ketostix in the morning 1st thing as calorie progress during the day can affect it.

10kg off is really great, well done. Don't loose all that great work. I know its not easy & you know you can do it. I have found LCHF easy to monitor on a day by day basis by using a ketostix. By measuring every morning I know how I went the day before. If I am kicked out it takes about 72 hours to get back in ketosis at…

This is a thread I needed to read. Thank-you all so so much!!!! I have been LC for 15 weeks starting with only quitting sugar only (then found this woe). In a 2 week plateau at moment but shed so far 20kg (44lb) and 38cm (15inch) overall. But this result is what keeps me going. I have never stuck to any other woe in my…

25 or below is my magic level, any more & I'm out of ketosis. And stevia i tried for mañy weeks & cant get past the aftertaste. I have now dropped coffee totally instead (&actually feel better for it). Have now shed 20kg (44lb) in 15 weeks so it is all worth it & I'm not hungry and no longer craving sweet foods.

@Sk8Kate you will be the light for your family/friends. They are obviously watching you and don't know they are also testing it out over time. There are too many woe these days but people don't stick to it or keep the weight off. Im convinced by us continuing & not being defensive others will come & check it out after the…

I googled no sugar or the like & was led it for no cost. No idea what site or link but it happened. Very interesting. Have also seen (don't know if it is this film or others I've seen) but it is the sweet spot manufacturers use 50/50 sugar & fats + that conrtibutes to the biggest weight increase problem. Our bodies are not…

I take a good multivitamin in morning, & D drops, then track my food during day. In evening look at what I'm short & top it up with each individual like calcium, iron & C. You need to be careful not not have too much of some like A as that is not good for you. But apparently C you can have a lot of. :* It is a minefield.
