September 3 :) We gave up on doing anything terribly exciting once kids came along (we used to go away for the weekend) and his company keeps sending him to Canada over that week :p But I'm grateful for every year we get to be together no matter how we celebrate the occasion.

I was married at 22 and marrying and having kids young helped me to mature and grow in ways I sorely needed. Knowing my personality I'm afraid that if I'd waited until I was much older I'd have developed a stubborn selfishness Which would have made marriage much harder. Instead we 'grew up ' together and formed our…

I met my husband at college through mutual friends. We were just acquaintances for three years before he asked me out. He actually had to ask three times before I said yes because I was shy and have social anxiety had never dated anyone before so I wanted to get to know him better before we dated. Also my best friend had…

Haha that's secretly my goal, too. I was crazy frumpy pre-kids so I partially work out to be a hot mom :p

Canada has a whole season of The 100 that isn't on American netflix yet. We are getting super impatient :(

My husband turNed me into a total sci fi nerd. I never watched it before we got married but now I'm obsessed. We watch a lot of Star Trek and Firefly together. My one guilty pleasure that he hates so I only watch while he's out of town is Royal Pains.

Interesting philosophy! I asked my parents about that once because my college cost a lot more than my sister's and they basically said "we help reach of you in your need and if there are any feelings of inequality you two can work it out with inheritance when we die." There's no resentment though as my sister and I have…

I've known a couple guys who wore them really well - both had curly hair and were kinda artsy - it just 'fit' their persona. I've also seen guys with man buns that seemed like an attempt to disguise poor hygiene and guys who have failed at jumping on a trend. Totally depends on the situation

The book Boundaries was a helpful read for us in learning how to deal with the in-laws. We've both got good ones, but we share a farm with my husband's mom and get husband so we have to be clear about boundaries a lot

I've responded to stress, anxiety and control issues with food for most of my life. Both through binges and also 10 year of anorexia. Things I've found that help involve routine. I set up fitness goals and remind myself over and over that food ia fuel and not comfort. When I built a strength training routine and saw how…

My husband teases me because I always get our anniversary mixed up. We got married on the third day of the month in 2005 but somehow my brain just remembers the 5 so I'm always 2 days late. We barely celebrate anymore anyway so it doesn't really matter, he just likes that he remembers and I don't lol.

I never expected to be a farmer. So mucking out coops and hauling water and feed were never on my radar. Otherwise we've split the household tasks pretty typically. He handles outside stuff, things involving tools and anything high (I'm 5'1"), and I take care of the inside of the house, the kids and the cooking. Oh, he did…

That is my husband's favorite YouTube video. He shows it to everyone lol

I put them in pancakes and crepes for a little crunch and smoothies where they basically disappear. I don't prefer them soaked so usually bake them into things

@_Just_Ash_ because he's the cosplay king And a couple other awesome folks who've recently left MFP

Taking a rest day. By which I mean frantically cleaning the house and shuttling children around. How did summer become busier than the school year?
-
Currently just swimming while the kids splash in the pool most days. Typically I shoot for 6 days alternating lifting and cardio. Been out for injury recently though so I feel like I'm starting over :/

We live on a farm. Just leaving the door open lets hay and dust and sometimes geese in the house. I figure the shoes argument is moot at this point. His mom is super type A about her pristine house though so I imagine that's where it came from. I was raised with the philosophy that messes are fine as long as you're having…

Haha my husband is the one who's particular about no shoes on the wood floors. I'm thinking if I'm the one who washes them, can't I wear my shoes?

My husband and I had to have boundary conversations when we were first married because I grew up in theatre/dance often with co-ed dressing rooms and the like and was much more comfortable with close proximity and states of undress than my husband was (although, really, nothing you wouldn't see at the beach). It's…

Haha yes that Hoshi. I didn't mean she's not gorgeous (cause she is) but I wouldn't have to relapse into my eating disorder like I would to be T'Pol thin. Hoshi was my second favorite character on the show (behind Captain Tucker who I had a ridiculous crush on). And yes, Brent Spiner is fabulous.
-
T'Pol used to be my weight loss inspiration. These days I'd settle for Hoshi. Couldn't get through DS9 either but we loved enterprise and I followed Patrick Stewart as a stage actor well before discovering Star Trek so I have a big soft spot for TNG. Interested to see what they come up with next.

I noticed mine was significantly reduced when I started heavy lifting and leaned out as well. I don't know what your current routine is but you could try working on core strength which will help you"suck it in," and make sure your hip flexors are well stretched as tight hips can give you a swayback posture that makes a…

Haha I don't cook lamb either. Thanks for the recommendations!

Crazy high metabolism. Our kids are all alarmingly thin as well. They're wound up like tops all day, meanwhile I'm lucky to get through the day without a nap lol.

I slow cook my chicken so it falls apart which is how I like it best. I toss it in there with one of the following sauces: Jar of salsa Broth and white wine Onion, crushed tomatoes, balsamic vinegar, pinch sugar or xylitol Rotel, black beans and corn Orange juice/zest, soy sauce, ginger, garlic powder, honey (add water and…

Current short term goal: lose 8 lbs and fit into my bikini/summer clothes Slightly longer term goal: work back up to my previous max lifts
