I'm eventually hoping to lose 115 lbs., having done 51 lbs. so far. It takes time, but it can be done. Show compassion for yourself when you stumble. Focus on the goal-- both when sticking to the plan sucks and when you have a hiccup along the way. I am posting recipes and think pieces on my blog: http://TheRebuild.ca/ if…

My goal is in the ballpark of yours: Started at 315 lbs. and hoping to end up at 200 lbs.. I am at 264 lbs. Friend me if you wish :) - Shawn

I would say, "kinda" I usually rinse them like crazy as the liquid medium is really nasty. Tonight, I mixed them with a spiralized zucchini to replace pasta and the result was great as the zucchini and shirataki noodles broke up the monotony of either one. I started using them again recently because of those annoying "lose…

I'm a week into keto. I also have gout. I'm not feeling very sore or swollen, but some of that could be lost in the mix as I'm doing a lot of exercise. I agree: Paleo is less strict than keto.

In the meanwhile, natural sugar alternatives (honey, fruit and the like) could give your body what it needs. What @pita7317 said…

I plateaued at 45 lbs. lost, then hung more or less there for over a year. I got onto keto last week and have had the early win of 6 lbs. gone. I think the body gets used to any diet and makes it the new normal. If your weight holds, it may do so even while you're off "the diet" (whichever one that may do). Maybe a week or…

We've all been there. Try your best and know that it's your best. If that means you lapse a little, forgive yourself.

I'm back into a very regimented diet. I'm doing keto this time out. My ratio goals were 5% carb / 70% fat / 25% protein. I've had good results this week. I haven't hit ketotis (8 days in), and I've had a hard time getting up to a daily average of 70% fat. I just shifted my goals to 10% / 65% / 25%. That's close to where…

I'm like you. My ideal win would be to shed another 90 lbs., but I am okay if I get off another 50 lbs. thereby having lost 95 lbs. in total. I started onto Keto last week and it has given me some early wins. - Shawn
