I’ve sloooowly been losing weight this year, mostly through just eating mindfully (and sporadically tracking calories when I start to get off track). Well, yesterday I went through all my fall/winter clothes and everything fits and looks much better now that I’m 20lbs lighter!

I'm surprised no one has mentioned drinking more calories. Juiced vegetables and fruits, milk, extra cream in your coffee, etc. can add an extra couple hundred calories easily.

Following a minor surgery last month, I wasn't able to exercise and, as a result, allowed myself too many "why not" days. My NSV? I'm back on track with exercising and calorie counting...and back to my pre-surgery weight.

I've seen it mentioned on these forums multiple times and I can't agree more: replace your wardrobe at thrift stores. I've had such great (and cost effective) experiences with thrift store finds that I may never go back to buying new. Except underwear. @crazykatlady820 OMG, you win. This is awful. My step mother made a potato soup once a week that smelled exactly like vomit. I never ate it, but the smell filled the house and I would bury my head in my pillow and try not to throw up. But globs of mayonnaise?! No. Just no.

I WAS FAT because I deserved that brownie fudge sundae, slice (or 3) of pecan pie, or bacon cheeseburger. And it certainly didn't help that I had no regard for proper portion sizes.

I finally had to buy new underwear! -20 from my previous lowest weight (-72 from highest), and this was the only wardrobe item for which I still owned accommodating sizes. Obviously I was in serious denial....

CAPSULE WARDROBE If you have a significant amount to lose, you will replace your entire wardrobe...multiple times. Buy only basics in a very limited array of colors so everything matches with everything else. And for the love of god, buy it all second hand.
