One Thing I try to do is log my food for the whole day when in the morning. I plan out what I want and stick to it. Obviously this can't be done every day, but I try to plan out as much as I can before I eat it!

Whenever I'm working out or counting calories I say out loud: " Why am I doing this? To feel good, to look good." It helps to say it out loud, even if no one is listening.

I knew going in 20 lbs probably won't happen in that time. If I lose 10 I'll be happy, I just need to have a high goal. If I don't, I will be too lenient with myself.
