I don't know a lot about Russian culture (I am aware that they have some strict beauty standards and ideals) but I come from a Korean background. Korea is extremely image conscious and there is a lot of pressure to be beautiful and thin (look at how many young Koreans resort to plastic surgery from the intense pressure.) I…

5'3, 158 pounds, and I wear a size US 12 and Large in clothing and bra size is 36DD. I always have a big chest but I am hoping it will go down to a size 32DD or 32D.

When you mean give up, do you mean the primal/paleo diet or just with weight management in general? I have to be on a strict diet similar to primal and it is very hard because I am permanently disabled with severe illnesses. I don't have a lot of support in real life so I can't really ask someone to help me make meals or…

I felt a lot of pressure from family (who took no account of my various physical illnesses) to lose weight and all it did was made me feel more miserable about the idea of weight loss. I had to change my mentality on why I wanted to be more active and eat healthier with smaller portions because if I was miserable the whole…

Here are some other factors to look into: * Are you or have you been under pressure or stress? * Have you started a new medication(s)? * How is the quality of your sleep? * Are there any big changes occurring in your life? I list the ones above because for me personally, I have experienced all four and they all contributed…

I log it in. Do you just drink regular unsweetened green tea? I like my mine with all sorts of flavors like green chai tea, peach, cherry, and strawberry.

I am really sorry to hear about your situation. I have had fibromyalgia since I was a baby, became bedridden at age 15, in a wheelchair half the time (the other half was in bed) at 18, started to walk more at 21 years old, and now I am able to walk more regularly. I am currently in treatment and slowly getting better. If…

I am someone who recently had to switch to a diet very similar to primal because of my disabilities and doctor's recommendation. I am still trying to learn how to cook so it has been very interesting to try out all these different recipes from websites. The food processor has become my best friend. :D

I think this will be very helpful. There are many people on MFP who are using the calorie counter as a tool to continue the anorexia/ED cycle. Maybe if they do come across this group and see other people's recovery, they might want to reach out for some help.

I had the same situation. At my highest weight, I did look overweight but people were pretty shocked when I told them I was about 15 lbs away from being 200 lbs. I think it had to do with my body shape and where the fat went. I am already top heavy, so some of it went to my chest and I think that made the rest of my body…

I hope things work out for you. I agree with one of the posters above, I think there are a lot of people in that boat. Hopefully, when the idea of being LGBTQIA+ is wrong will become less and less to point it will be an uncommon thought, this will help people not be in these situations. Plus it will be easier for people…

I never been to Pride before but here's to hoping I will make it this year. I got really sick last year so I couldn't go. :disappointed:

I'm 24 years old. I have lost 27 lbs so far. My goal weight is 130-125 lbs. I would like to be a part of your MFP network.

The Korean skin care regime is a multi step daily skin care routine. Some routines are 10 steps and the most I heard of was 18 to 20 steps. The morning regime and the nighttime regime have a couple steps that are different such as morning is for SPF and night might have a night mask at the end. Also, your skin type and…

24 years old and so far I have lost 24 lbs since I joined this site. Feel free to add me.

It's great to hear that you are giving it another try. :)

I've been seeing some positive changes lately. Not anything major but there are some noticeable changes in energy. I am starting to tackle on some goals that two years ago, I could only imagine but not be able to do. I have been learning how to cook with simple recipes and seem to be able to retain some new information…

I'm 24 years old. This is my second account too. I gained almost 60 lbs because of physical disabilities. So far I lost 24 lbs, almost at the half way mark. I wouldn't mind being pals.

I will definitely check them out. I just started being on a diet similar to the primal diet and I really need to see some demonstrations.

I was a vegetarian for a while but unfortunately was forced to stop because of my various health issues (I had these issues before going on a vegetarian diet btw). I can't have gluten, soy, most dairy, and a few other things. I really wanted to transition to becoming a vegan but my health issues took that option away. The…
-
@anglyn1 I feel better after talking to other people about it. I know there are people who made fun of the whole gluten free fad but honestly, I am so happy because the options have definitely opened up for those who have to be on the diet for health reasons.
-
My doctor wants me to go on a diet that has some similarity to the primal diet. I never saw myself as someone who would go gluten free but I really have no choice in the matter. I have numerous health issues and I know from the tests, my stomach has a bunch of issues. The only grains I can have are rice (long grain brown,…
