  • (Edited - sorry I posted here by accident)
  • @smalls9686 Congratulations on your bfp!
  • @katycapp So so sorry to hear about your loss. We are here for you if you need to vent, and I hope that you have some lovely friends and family looking after you just now.
  • @puffbrat Your crib is lovely! It actually gives me goosebumps thinking about buying things like that!
  • @StephAStephan sorry to hear about your miscarriages. I don't have any experience of fertility meds but the very best of luck!
  • Good idea! I love Expecting Better by Emily Oster (reviews of research on pregnancy), and The Fertility Diet by Chavarro et al. (evidence based guidelines on reducing the risk of ovulatory infertility). For fun reading, The Rosie Effect by Graeme Simsion is a lovely book in which one of the main characters is pregnant.
  • Weigh in: Feb 1st 166lbs Feb 8th 162.7 Feb 15th 160.3 Feb 22nd 159.8 GW 1st March 158. Stalling a bit but trying very hard. Desperate to get to a normal BMI before pregnancy. I use weightgrapher too and love it!
  • Lost 55lbs (190 to 135) over about a year using diet alone, but put a lot of that back on over the following year. This time I'm using exercise too, partly because the Notional Weight Loss Registry stats suggest that this helps losers to maintain, and partly because it makes me feel generally better and healthier.
  • Congratulations! Fantastic news! Best of luck with the repeat progesterone test :-)
  • I'm in the same boat. Lost 55lbs then regained 35lbs over the following year. I'm back on track and down by 10lbs, 25lbs to go. I'm so mad at myself! I think that last time I: 1. Failed to take maintenance seriously - thought I could eat more than I could 2. Gradually rediced my exercise 3. Stopped weighing myself daily 4.…
  • Feb 1st: 166 Feb 15th: 160.3 Goal Feb 28th: 158 Almost there! Agressive goal as only started losing in January. Next few months will be slower, @krizaten33 - hope you're feeling better
  • Happy Valentine's Day everyone! @pezhed Hope you enjoyed your birthday! Don't dwell on the gain - most will be water and come off again easily. Hope everyone else is feeling better - still a couple of weeks to go in February to get on track. We've been ttc for 3 months now, and I'm on a bit of a mission to get my BMI under…
  • They are absolutely gorgeous!
  • Thanks - reassuring that it's unlikely to cause harm but will probably cut back anyway to help with weight loss.
  • Hi, I'm Sam. Thanks to those that created this group - such a great idea. We've been TTC for just 2 months so far but I'm very impatient! I have about 20 pounds to lose to get back to my wedding weight so am seeing every negative pregnancy test as another month to get my body in shape!
  • 5'6" SW 190lbs CW 152 GW 135-140 (have been here before, only 5 months ago. First attempt at maintenance has failed! Back on the wagon to try to get it right this time!)
  • We did flowers and necklaces for the Mums and engraved whisky bottles for the Dads xxx
  • Don't be so hard on yourself Sarah! You've been through a lot recently - you need to be kind to your body! Yoga and running are going well, thanks! I'm starting to see my upper abs - very motivating! Tomorrow we're supposed to be walking the Bermuda end-to-end - a 24 mile walk, and it's supposed to rain all day! I'm still…
  • Move - run 4-5x / week, yoga 4-5x / week Menu - back on my pre-wedding fish fingers and beans diet to move the scale in the right direction (gained around 5lbs in the 2 months post wedding) Motivate - get involved with this group again!
  • Gorgeous - and I love that you snuck in some yellow!
  • Hi Sarah, thoughts are with you - hope your fiancé makes a speedy recovery. I agree with the suggestion to chat it over with your family - they'll help you decide what to do for the best xxx

  • Welcome to the group! It sounds like you've already made some positive changes! You have so much on your plate with 5 children including new twins, and a wedding to plan! Hopefully you'll find this little community a good way to escape every now and then!
  • This is absolutely stunning! Are you still thinking of yellow for the dip dye?
