Took back some T-shirts I gave to my wife because they were too tight. Now they’re loose or even baggy.

I'm not sure it's mini, but I want to beat my PR in the Peachtree Road Race this year. I set it 9 years ago on my first attempt.

I always check the USDA site for an entry that has a cooking method. And then pick the one that's the highest calories. I think it's more accurate than using the MFP recipe builder when it comes to proteins.

Today was half walk/half jog 5.83 miles at a 10:46 per mile pace. I walked the steeper uphills, but I jogged the gradual ones. According to 2 calorie calculators, that’s about 750 calories. Another said it’s 900... Threw out all my XXL shirts and 40 waist pants because I’m never letting that happen again.

New shirt, which is actually baggy, on top of my old shirt.

After losing 26% of my body weight.

Ran an entire 5k. Less than 9 minute miles. According to Nike app, it’s my fastest one ever. Also had my fastest 1k and 1mile times. Number 4 in my age group by 10 seconds. If only I had started my kick a little sooner.

Everything moving in the right direction again. I assume it’s the increase in calories and the fact that I’ve allowed myself to enjoy some things I’d cut out completely to avoid overindulging in them.
-
For the naysayers, I ran in the rain again today and watched cars edge towards me as they came close and then move back to the middle of their lane after they went past on multiple occasions. Running in the snow when it was really just tiny pieces of ice kind of hurt the other day. But at least no wet feet.

Tested the scale with a 10 pound weight. Apparently it's 10.2 pounds. And my end of day weight was higher than my morning weight, so the scale works. I'll just keep tracking and jogging and see what happens.

I also wondered if it was because I increased calories from 1.5 to 1 pound per week and since my exercise hasn’t changed that much, I’m not burning them all. Of course, my logging shows I’m 1500 under calorie goal for the week so it’s weird.
-
Moussaka. Never made it before and I’m tempted to log the time it took to prepare it because I was on my feet for an hour and change. And I’m already trying to think of ways to make it better because it had a metric ton of oil that seemed completely unnecessary.

My daughter is selling them this year. We bought 10 boxes...

35 minute 5k. Could have run the whole thing. People walking on the left and my son’s asthma slowed the time down.
-
Shorter than usual walk this morning. Kneading incredibly dense bagel dough for 15 minutes because my mixer couldn’t handle it...

Not counting breakfast today, Mississippi pot roast with mashed potatoes and roasted cauliflower and caramelized onions. My daughter cooks tonight (with supervision) so it’s Mac and cheese, ribs and Caesar salad.
-
Thanks all. Set myself for 1 pound a week today. I’ll do that for 5 pounds and then drop to .5. And I may go past my current goal just to see if I can. I’ll still be well within my healthy weight range so why not.
-
Tried on a medium shirt and belt today. They fit, though the shirt was a little tight in the shoulders.

My local grocery stores always have oxtails. I've done crockpot and pressure cooker. I usually just take my normal beef stew or pot roast recipe and stick in oxtails instead of chuck roast.
-
Wore through the soles of my running shoes. As of today, I have replaced most my everyday wardrobe. All the shirts are L instead of XXL. The shorts and jeans are loose 36. I am keeping 1 XXL shirt and 1 40 shorts to wear for an "I did it" pic when I hit my goal weight.

New one: Pour sauce over chicken Sprinkle on herbs and spices Use spatula to mix spices into sauce Wouldn’t it be easier to mix everything before you pour the sauce...

My wife and daughter both complained I’m too bony. Meaning I’m not as comfortable when they decide to use me as a pillow/chair.

Went to the dentist today. Last time I was there was closer to the beginning of my journey. She commented on how much weight I'd lost.

My doctor had me on pills. When I started my MFP weight loss and exercise plan, I started monitoring it once a week on the machine at the grocery store. I watched it drop drastically as I lost weight. Monitoring was so I'd have a record when I went back to the doctor in December to try to convince him to take me off meds,…

I used some podcasts the first time I did it. The last time I did it, I used an app called Interval Runner because it let me create my own training plans as well as having the basic C25K. Now that I'm up to 4.75 MPH walking, I will start a plan next week that's a 20 minute walk, the first week of C25K, and then another 20…

I make egg white bakes every Sunday. Total of 9 and eat 3 as a meal for 150 calories and 20g protein. Get out the muffin tin 27 tbsp Kroger break free egg whites (3 per muffin) 54g Jimmy Dean turkey sausage crumbles 27 g cheese Diced jalapeno or serrano pepper Roasted mushrooms Put the eggs in the tins, then the other…

I use the Kraft Tuscan house dressing a lot. It's 50 calories per serving and I've discovered half a serving is usually plenty for a normal salad. A full serving is for a ginormous salad that is my entire meal.

Today my wife's ex came to pick up my stepson. He hasn't seen me since August. The look on his face when he realized that I am now skinnier than he is on top of taller, better looking, not bald, and with much more full manly facial hair than he has was priceless.

1. 100 miles of walking in December. That was just the Nike app, doesn’t count elliptical. 2. Walked 4.6 miles in 58 minutes in the pouring rain.
