This first picture is 2 months into my MFP journey but I don't have photos from those days. I've currently lost 86lb, have come off blood pressure meds and live a much healthier life style on the whole. I still have more to lose but I don't mind how slowly as long as the trend is down!

I've taken my time. Used Fitbit to encourage me to move more and counted my calorie intake using MFP. I've tried to have more good days than bad, but forgiven myself the odd disaster day!! And I've been determined that this time it is a lifestyle change. Good luck. If I can do it so can you!

Thanks for the thought. The walk is spread over 6 days and my dr. is ok with me doing it. I use 2 walking poles when I hike so that my arms take some of the impact. Until about 3 weeks ago I was coping well with little pain but jarred my knee and had this set back. I'm not prepared to cancel this as I've looked forward to…

Maybe not technically a NSV but I just made it over the line from obese to overweight. It feels pretty good!

Well done-you look fab! Great advice about not setting time limits. I've learned that over time too, to be happy with a downward trend however small.

9lb in my first week then 3 per week for a couple of months, then 2lb a week for a while and now 1lb a week-a total of 88lb so far, another 30 or so to go. Good luck with your loss-take it steady.

Before I lost weight and started exercising it was mid 70s, now low 50s.

I'm in total agreement. Linking my Fitbit Charge HR and MFP has been the difference between success and failure for me this time. They are helping me to develop a new relationship with food and exercise.

You are doing great, well done. I just echo the cautions of previous posters. I set myself a target of 2lb a week to lose 100lb in a year. That was fairly achievable for the first 6 months but having lost over 80 now the loss has slowed. I now realise that is perfectly normal and I'm delighted with any loss and some weeks…

I'm down 4 sizes since last summer and I've been donating almost everything to the charity shop and sold a few things on eBay. It's an expensive business but I'm enjoying being able to shop in more stores and have more choice. My weight loss has slowed now so at least I get to wear things for longer before donating them!!
