@teresadannar - Sounds like a great vacation. And even better news from the doctor! Hallelujah!

Love your attitude, Mindi. I agree that we will get through this, but I hope I can gain something positive from it. It seems unlikely some days right now. Thanks for the encouraging words.

Yes, they are excellent swimmers. And they can use their tails as a rudder to steer themselves in the water. They were bred from some Newfoundland puppies in Maryland and probably crossed with flat coated retrievers and curly coated retrievers. That is probably the origin of the wavy coat on the back. They were used by…

Daisy does that regularly. I've owned several dogs that did the same things.

Happy Independence Day! Last night, my son and granddaughter and I went to an early fireworks display on the Snake River at Marsing. It was great to get out and see some people. Attendance was much lower than usual. I recently heard someone discussing how the forced isolation is causing some mental health concerns for lots…

This is Daisy. She's a Chesapeake Bay retriever. Her whelping date was July 2nd - she just had her first birthday. Which is the same as mine. An interesting coincidence. She makes sure I get some walking or hiking almost every day. And you have to keep an eye out for that tail. She can clear the coffee table with a couple…

I have tried for two days to upload a photo to this thread. Fails every time. The usual MFP glitches. Will try with the computer tomorrow.

Sort of a non-scale victory. Had a physical a couple of days ago. The doctor was reviewing my history as we were finishing up and he says "You don't need to lose any more weight". I disagree, but it was still good to hear that. 😁

Great news, Ali! Enjoy your time with your mom.

Amen, sister! 🤞

Happy Canada Day to all the Canadians here! 🍁 (Didn't have a Canadian flag emoji, so that maple leaf will have to do.) 😁 Rolled over the calendar to July this morning and read this quote -- "The best is yet to be." - Robert Browning Here's hoping that is true for the second half of 2020!

Greetings, all. Good to see some new folks here. Ran off the rails, food wise, the last couple of days. Back on the program tomorrow. Had a physical today. The doctor says "You don't need to lose any more weight". That was good to hear, even if I disagree. HAHA!😊

Greetings, all. I was locked out of the community section of this website for the last couple of days. Was not able to check in here. Was I the only one? The struggles go on. I have a weight goal for June 30. I have been below that weight a couple of times in the last month, but I haven't been able to stay down where I…

Did a kettlebell circuit Wednesday. Still sore today. Got to get back on a regular workout schedule.

Usually I want to skip out when it's cold.🥶 But my trainer says that's not a valid excuse, either. Stupid trainer! 😬
-
That comment made me laugh, Kym. 😁 We used to make jokes at boot camp sessions about how much we hated the trainer. Loudly. So he could hear us. It was all in good fun, but he knew he was pushing us to work harder.

Congratulations, Teresa! That is an awesome achievement. 👏👏👏 Enjoy your vacation on the beach! 🌞⛱

Hope you all had an awesome weekend. Somehow a water balloon battle broke out at the 9th birthday party. Everyone was soaked when we were done. Gotta' act like a kid sometimes. 🎈💦😁 Father's Day dinner was very tasty and carbolicious. The scale thought it was great, too. Glad that I know that 4 pound spike is temporary.

Bumping this back to the top. This thread should be in the stickies at the top of page 1.

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there! Hope you can spend some time with your family today. Be sure to tell your dad how much you appreciate him and give him a hug!

Welcome. They're not checking ID's here. Or they wouldn't allow this old man in here. HAHA! 😊

Checking in with y'all. Lifting workout yesterday morning- deadlifts with no pain - my back feels fine today. I think the muscles are healed. Onward and upward. The daily dog walks continue. Have met a couple of folks along my usual route. It's always nice to make some new acquaintances. Planning a combination…
