That doesn't look like coffee in those glasses, ladies. 😊 Cheers! 🥃👍

My sister has a sleeve. It did help her lose weight, but she has had some other issues related to the sleeve. She can only eat small meals now and does not eat regularly. That leads to low blood sugar and fainting episodes. I had the pleasure of an ambulance ride with her when she passed out in a department store last…

Checking in with y'all. Lifting workout yesterday morning- deadlifts with no pain - my back feels fine today. I think the muscles are healed. Onward and upward. The daily dog walks continue. Have met a couple of folks along my usual route. It's always nice to make some new acquaintances. Had a couple of high carb/calorie…

I was glad to go back when the gym opened. Just spending a little more time wiping down equipment - otherwise no difference for me.

Awesome transformation, @torridcrafter. You're right - it does get harder to lose as we age. But the support and encouragement from the fine people here keeps me on track.

Sounds normal to me. I have had the same issues when doing 5x5. Quiksylver listed a good option - micro plates. Just keep working.

Greetings, kids! Hope you're having a great day. Raining sideways in Idaho this morning. The dog walk will have to be this afternoon. The cooler temps are pleasant, though.

Did a kettlebell circuit early at the gym today. Spent the morning working on a bathroom sink drain. I like old houses - but old plumbing, not so much. 😒 Off to work in the afternoon. Have an awesome weekend, y'all!🎇

The bad news - Back to the gym but only intermittently since reopening. Need to get back on a regular workout schedule. The good news - have still been losing weight slowly, so calories are under control. YAY!

I'm 65 and have been a walker and hiker most of my life. Started lifting when I was 58. I wish I had started sooner. I recommend adding lifting in the future as part of your regimen. There's a great book titled "The Barbell Prescription" by Jonathon Sullivan and Andy Baker. Specifically written for older people. I found it…

Greetings, all. Good scale reading this morning - back below 190. I should reach my June 30 goal if I'm diligent. I may actually get below 180 by year end. Not going to the gym often enough, but walking every day. The dog sees to that - HAHA! :D Is life back to normal for most of you? Idaho has opened for everything except…

Congratulations, Teresa! That is an awesome accomplishment. I have the same issue - losses slowed way down after the initial weight loss. No matter, I am losing slowly now and I will get there eventually. I also plan on being a lifetime logger - it's tedious, sometimes, but the alternative is worse.

Hi, Liane! I would look around the MFP forums and find some groups of like-minded people - people who have similar weight loss goals, etc. I find the online support valuable to keep me focused. Logging food is key for me, too - I have been able to maintain a 45+ pound loss for two years because I log (almost) everything I…

I had some business acquaintances who lived in Brigantine. Had a house near the water - I remember walking a short distance from their house to the dock where the boat was moored. We went out in the Atlantic for bluefish. It was fast and furious fishing - had a great day. They sold the business and I lost track of them,…

@j29t - Thanks for the information. I have fished in the Atlantic out of the Jersey shore and the Gulf out of Tampa. Looks like I need to visit the Carolinas next. Everyone I know who has gone there has enjoyed it.
-
@j29t - where is the beach? The fishermen reminded me - I have done several types of fishing, but never fishing in the surf. Better add that to the bucket list. Hope you all are well. Got a mild back injury a couple of weeks ago and it is stubbornly slow to heal. I'm doing some light lifting and walking with the dog as…

Have an awesome time, Island Gal!

Hello, y'all. The rain continues in Idaho. Was up in the wooded country today - everything is vibrant green right now. Still managing to walk the dog in between downpours. It will end soon and the hot, dry summer will be upon us. On a positive note - I went on a family vacation in January. Eat, drink and be merry - yada,…

Ran across this chuckle today!

Unusual amount of rain in the desert in Idaho, too. Everything will be green for a few days when the sun returns. ☀️💐

:) Love that attitude, @springlering62. You're an inspiration!

All the new users should know - glitches and errors are very common with the MFP app. Don't give up if you aren't able to post some days. It's a pain in the *kitten*, but the mutual support and encouragement you get here is worth the frustration.

Good morning, all. Lifted yesterday - a nice and easy start to strengthen some tender lower back muscles. Feeling fine this morning, so that was the right choice. Planning a couple of long walks with the pup. Have an awesome weekend, y'all!

Hey, y'all. Just checking in. A beautiful rainy spring day in Idaho. The first heat wave of the season is right around the corner. Still walking the dog regularly. Got to get back to lifting some weight, too. Have an awesome day!

Hey, y'all. Just checking in. Hope you all are doing well. Getting lots of walking and hiking in. Been losing weight slowly and hit a new low last week. Eating is mostly under control. Now to get back under the bar and life will be (almost) normal.
