  • Use PB Fit or similar.... powdered peanut butter, real thing but has a lot of fat stripped out of it, fewer calories, same great taste... great for smoothies and shakes
  • Heavens no.. but I don't think everyone's refuse is handled the same way. Before we beat up the original poster, realize that there *are* people that live places other than AnyTown, USA. Where I live .. Anytown USA, I pay the city for garbage collection. Garbage/refuse goes in a HUGE curbside can (Can A), I separate out my…
  • I keep my 'snacks' to around 100-120 calories each and one between breakfast & lunch and the other for around 2-3 pm in the afternoon .... I do around 200-225 for breakfast (2) 100-120 calorie snacks - something like a serving of chips/salsa, 100 calorie bag of popcorn, fresh fruit, string cheese/cheese stick, boiled egg…
  • If you friend me, you can look into my diary and see what a typical day looks like - for the past 8 weeks. I've lost about 16 lbs (234 down to 217.7) - gone from a TIGHT size 18 to a size 16. There are lots of diet plans you can follow, but the best one is the one that you can easily follow. I eat almost all of the same…
  • I've been using the app for 8 weeks and I've lost about 16 lbs - which translates to about 2 lbs a week. I use MFP in conjunction with a Fitbit to track activity/steps. If you are serious about making a change, yes it works great :)
  • I had no idea they had a tracker for dogs. How fun!
  • https://www.fitbit.com/user/3RM8K5 always looking for friends; I live in Phoenix Arizona (MST time)
  • I do agree with a few points. You have to want to make the change, when you decide you really want it, you don't feel like you are making sacrifices. I say this because you are onboard with the process and fully invested in it, because it was YOUR idea, not someone else's. I also agree with the fact that it's easier for…
  • Don't feel bad, I don't like it either. I don't bother with a gym though ( I know I won't go). I have exercise mat at home.. and a treadmill on order from Costco. We have many months out of the year when it is just TOO HOT to walk outside - YES even early morning or at night.
  • I bought a fitbit flex less than a week ago, I'm just hoping it will keep me inspired. As to how accurate they are, there's no saying........
  • I did a cull about a month ago .. got rid of a lot of tops that were not flattering...several pairs of size 16 capris that were too tight.. but I really plan to be LOWER than what I got rid of, by the time spring/summer rolls around again, I am hoping to be in a 12 or 14 at the very worst. Overall, there is not a huge span…
  • at about 5'8 and 234 lbs I was in a very tight 18. I have lost about 10 lbs and now the 18's are loose, but I am nowhere near being able to fit into a 16 yet (they are just too tight - though they do fit up over my hip and butt - they are too tight to sit in). I am trying to not be too hard on myself - since I probably…
  • You are an inspiration to us all .. good work!
  • When you lose a lot of weight - people WILL ask you how you did it; that's just natural. The nosiest thing anyone ever asked me is that if I was losing weight because of a "health scare"... I just laugh and tell them I know people that have had health scares that still don't improve their lives! I do know these types! they…
  • Remember that LOTS of every day things are exercise... cleaning house, yard work... etc etc .... you can also use dumbbell weights and do some light lifting. I find it hard to get any cardio done this time of year... I live in Phoenix with 100 degree plus weather. Yes, even at night and early morning it's hot :) we won't…
  • Try making a lighter version of the chicken pillows for yourself using wonton wraps :)
  • I said NO to buying a bag of Halloween candy (chocolate) today while @ Sam's club. You know, ,I don't really limit myself to what I can eat, just watch portions and count the calories and sometimes have decisions to make. I have done weight loss and dieting in the past and have learned that depriving yourself of what you…
  • Agreed.. I need to count/measure/weigh everything, or guess what :-\
  • Because it's not supposed to be looked at as a "diet" but a lifestyle change.. if you don't make your changes a permanent part of your life.. yes, I do believe you are prone to go back there. I know that for a fact - did WW and several other plans over the years.. at 230 I weigh the most I've ever weighed. I think (at the…
  • They've just started selling them at our grocery stores ... but they may not be available every where. They are LOADED with sugar though.......................a serving is half a cup (not many) and 14 grams of sugar... plugging in 2 servings of those (I was having a rough day) caused my MFP app to crash on my phone with…
  • I feel your pain. Allow yourself treats, just watch portions. I've frozen containers of 100 calorie yogurt and eat it like ice cream.
