Jan 8 Started the day eating cold leftover Thai food for breakfast…. Sucked it up and entered all my food for the day. Although I was way, way over on carbs, I did not exceed my maintenance cals. Kicked myself in the butt, got a good night’s sleep ( Finally) and determined to start this new week focused. To that end, so…

Jan 6 ❄️ Carbs. Well… ❄️ Cals. 1786 ❄️ Steps. 10748 ❄️ Exercise. 2 miles with Leslie. My sleep is still so messed up from jet lag. No matter what time I go to bed I wake up between 3-4. It’s really messing with my energy level and eating schedule. I hope it resolves soon.

@canadjineh , so sorry about your trip! I’ve always wanted to go to the Azores. Are you a diver? (I am). @NYPhotographer2021 what an awesome NSV! You must be on top of the world. @tishsmith101 that soup sounds great! Do you have a link to the recipe? Also… I love donuts. Just saying.

And we love you for all the work you do! 🌹🥓

Jan 4 ❄️. Carbs. 76 (oops) ❄️ Cals. 1628 (double oops) ❄️ Steps. Who knows—Garmin didn’t arrive until afternoon and it took me forever to get it set up. The learning curve from the 3 to the 4 is steep when my online manual defaults to German lol. Excited to give it a whirl today though! I started this morning with an…

Well, after an eventful yet stressful Oct-Dec during which I was crap about sticking to my program and culminating in a 2 week carbapalooza of hyper palatable food while in the US, I’m ready to take the 11 pound hit, put guilt behind me, and get on it for 2022. Also, I lost my Garmin on the plane and am bereft and mad as…

Food has been ok… carbs low and waiting to get back into ketosis. Steps have been low but I’ve been doing lots of housework—painting, deep cleaning, etc, —so not too concerned about that.

After a crazy October which included a diving trip and seeing my daughter for the first time in over a year (Kitten you, Covid], I am back at it. Lots going on this month as well— said daughter is actually having in person graduation for her MSc, my birthday, silly season craziness. All very exciting, but I need to stay…

That’s great mileage for a weekday!

@tishsmith101 I’m jealous of your camping trip! I love hiking and kayaking

9/15 Carbs cals and steps all good. Starting to se a little progress on the scale. I probably won’t make my end of September goal (5 pounds in 2 weeks is diet pie in the sky) but I’ll take what I can get and just keep plugging along.
-
@taylok23 how are you finding the “coaching” aspects of Noom? 9/14. Since I forgot to eat today (really!) I assume my cals and carbs were all within goals 😀. I also clocked 9 walking miles showing a visitor around the city. So…good day?
-
@taylok23 i haven’t tried Noom but I’m curious as well. Let us know what you think!

9/10 Cals 1730 Carbs. 112. What? Damned delicious, delicious Lamb Tikka Marsala. Steps 12,114 At least there are no leftovers.

The scale knows that you want it to move and it's being contrarian (as scales are wont to do)! Give it time, it will grow tired of its foolish games and it will change![/quote] Lol, mine is a monster. I have to move it, because it lurks in the guest room and we’re having company and no one gets to snoop on my…

9/9 Cals, carbs and exercise all within established parameters (lol) I really wish the $#++@)(ing scale would move.

9/7 Carbs. 33 Cals. 1512 Steps. 11384 Exercise. None, really Back on track after the weekend. At least I managed to stay out of the ice cream. I have to put on a wetsuit next month..focus!

9/4 Well, I blew it. We went on an 11 mile hike and then ended up in town and while I was probably ok on cals I was WAY over on carbs (hi, chocolate lava cake!). I need to be prepared with snacks when I hike. It’s not like I don’t know I’ll get hungry. Today will be better.

9/3 Carbs 27 Cals 1520 Steps 8235 😖 Exercise gardening, I guess Husband messed up my plans by coming home from work at lunch—we had a nice afternoon at the plant store but I can’t do my workout when he’s home. Oh well. Big hike tomorrow.
-
@Megan_smartiepants1970 thanks, I am well. Still recovering from my trip to the US where I ate (and drank) all the stuff I can’t get in Germany. Net gain of 2.2 pounds, but worth it for the lobster 😀 9/2 Carbs 51 Cals 1459 Steps 15,342 Exercise 3.7 mile brisk walk

I hope you feel better soon!

9/1 Carbs 27 Cals 1342 Steps 15362 Exercise 42 min cardio Ok then! My excitement for the day was getting one of those little hand-held milk froth er’s so I can turn my 1oz of skim milk into foam for my bastardized version of cappuccino. It’s the little things…

Ok, I need a hard reboot. No cntrl/alt/del for me; I’m unplugging and powering back up. I have been plugging along at this since Jan, when the increased threat of severe COVID in overweight/obese people scared me straight. In order to not discourage myself right off the bat, I committed to a keto diet, increased exercise…

As most of August will be spent traveling, I am adopting the KISS strategy and committing to a minimum 30 minutes of activity every day (this is a no brainer: lots to do around Dad’s house and yard and there’ll be a solid week of kayaking and hiking) and shortening my eating/drinking window to 6 hours a day. I’ll be…

I know how you feel, same thing happened to me. You’re absolutely right about the marathon part. For me it’s turning into more of an Ultra.. with a Spartan in the middle 😀
