Oh I used to like Wii sports. Not a big fan of Wii fit fattening up my avatar though 😀

I kind of wish I were a gamer. We gave our PS4 to our daughter to take to uni. Candy Crush for me...

I made it about halfway to Mordor. It was fun! Maybe I should dust off the app and see if that thread is still active.

Hi! I’m Kathy, a lifer geek as you can probably tell by my user name. Love all things Middle Earth, Trek, SW... you name it. I’m a US expat living in Germany trying to lose my COVID-19 plus about 20 of its friends ;). I welcome all friend requests!

I am at 17 miles so far for May. I foolishly entered a virtual”race” across Tennessee that goes to Sept 1—1000 km. Leslie is ideal for my indoor exercise since most of the workouts give you mileage. I hope everyone is doing well. Walk on!
-
@Avidkeo ow for your poor hands! I’m surprised there were so many people out. My in laws live in NZ and they said everyone’s been pretty compliant, but that people started lining up at McDonalds hours before it opened.

Completed my first 6.2 miles of my race across Tennessee. Ran the first 3.8 (outside! Yay) and walked the rest. It’s May Day here, which is a big holiday and saw lots of non-distancing groups and questionable beverage and food service. It was quite disconcerting.

@quilteryoyo, I don’t live there, it’s a virtual race. I just thought it would be fun because I was born in Knoxville. Plus my crazy Ironman athlete friend made me do it and I also roped my daughter in as well.

Oh it’s virtual, so most of it will be in my living room in Germany. 😀 My goal is to end up running at least half, with percentages increasing as I improve. My overall fitness is pretty good according to my V02 max and I hike 10-15 miles in rugged terrain (or at least I used to) fairly regularLy so im not too worried about…

Well, I’ve done a potentially ludicrous thing and signed up for a 1000k virtual race across Tennessee between today and the end of August. Getting too big for my britches I guess. Pray for me.

I FINALLY managed to finish C25K (yay!). I have been running mostly inside on a dicey treadmill so I have no idea what my pace is other than “slow”. Like I’m pretty sure I walk faster. But oh well. I’m considering the Bridge to 10K. My goal is to run at least 30 mins at least 4 days a week. I’ll be happy when I can get…

This is my first full month and I am ready to shake off the worry-induced sloth. I commit to meeting my 10,000 step goal plus 30 minutes of intentional exercise (strength or cardio or a mixture) every day. I have the time, I have the ability and I have no excuse not to do this. How’s everyone doing? Our little flowerbeds…

Has anyone tried this? I always like to look at the new stuff. I don’t have one of the 7 ring bands though—-and I live in Germany so it would be hard to get. Also, has anyone tried the app? It looks like there are 2 versions now—one 4.99 a month and one 8.99.

Well, I lied. Beautiful weather again today and we are both going mental in the house so back to the woods it was. Not quite so hilly, but longer and I managed to actually wear walking boots this time. I did love being out but I feel like you get a more extensive workout with the different moves. How’s everyone else doing?

Yesterday day was gorgeous and instead of walking inside, the husband and I did a hilly 7 mile hike through the forest close to our house. Because I am a moron, I wore totally inappropriate shoes (think teva sandals) with no support and my feet are so sore! Back to Leslie today with a selection from 5 Mega Miles wearing my…

Today was 5 segments of the Mix and Match Watch Blasters. There are 10 total 10 minute segments and you can really get a variety of good workouts. On Monday ( it just aslways has to be Monday, doesn’t it? ;)) I’m going to start the Walk It Off in 30Days again because I really need to do some strength training.
-
Hi! Have you liked at Walk It Off in 30 Days? It is a program with 2 alternating workouts —strength using dumbbells and walking. I found it on iTunes and really like it.
-
Hi everyone! I’ve been walking with Leslie since VHS days :). No matter what else I try, I always end up coming back because of the simplicity of the moves and her positive attitude. I find you can ramp up the intensity quite a bit by adding hand weights and making the moves bigger. I’m glad to find this group on here? Is…

Fantastic job!

@ariceroni , I’m not sure where you are in MD but I’m originally from Bethesda and the BCC YMCA does a Turkey Chase every Thanksgiving which is a lot of fun. You might want to check it out.

Great news on the job @PastorVincent ! That must be a relief.

Did your son even get any? ;)
-
Congratulations! That must feel terrific!
-
@skippygirlsmom , happy birthday!

Ok, I feel silly even posting this, but wth. I just ran my first contiguous mile with no walking breaks! I was soooo slow (slower than walking, lol) but for some reason I am ridiculously happy with myself. Taking off momentarily for a 5 hour walk in the Heide. I think I will have earned a beer in the Biergarten at the end.

@PastorVincent , I love that shirt!

@PastorVincent that is amazing! My daughter is studying astrophysics and we travelled to SC for Eclipse ‘17. Does your telescope/camera lens work kind of like the eclipse viewing binoculars?
