You're doing an amazing job! Keep going. There are people out there cheering you on.

Week 3 Day 2 complete. I didn't sleep well last night so I was expecting a terrible workout, but it wasn't bad at all. I wasn't as fast as two days ago, but since I'm aiming for finishing/endurance and not speed right now, I'm not too bummed. Excited for week 3 day 3 on Sunday!

I remember these feelings from the last time I did C25K! Someone on this forum a couple of years ago said it's about finishing the run, not about speed, and that really helped me. You can go as slow as you want as long as you're jogging, and that absolutely counts. Once you're able to finish the runs without feeling…

I'm on week 3 as well! Good luck!

Running outside until it gets too cold for me (hurts my ears) and then I'll be running on the treadmill.
-
Congratulations on all the positive changes you've already implemented! The runner's high is no joke; those endorphins get seriously addictive. Good luck and keep us posted!

Week 3 Day 1 is in the bag!

Hi, all! Excited to do this challenge! I'm modifying my goal to a 20 lb weight loss for the rest of the year (28 more weeks). Starting weight: 146 Goal weight: 125 Current weight: 146 Total weight lost: 0 This week's successes: - Completed C25K week 2 day 3! - I'm also seeing my clothes are fitting better and my body's…

Week 2 day 3 complete! I recently moved to a mountainous area and OMG running here is so different than running where I used to live (at sea level). It's totally kicking my booty, but at least I know once I build up my endurance here I can run anywhere else, just about!
-
Sounds like a plan to me! I used to run a lot, too, and then stopped and am now slowly making my way through C25K. One thing to keep in mind is that treadmill running tends to be easier/different than outdoor running, so if you use just your treadmill, you might still have to acclimate yourself to outside running…

Just got started on W1D1 again today. I'd graduated from C25K back in 2015, but fell off the running wagon halfway into 2016 and through 2017, sadly. It wasn't hard at all, and I'm hopeful I haven't lost all my cardio ability!

Nice work on the pushups! I'm so horrible at those and after I broke my arm, it's even worse (even though the arm's healed now, it still hurts when I put a lot of weight on it). I've already started, but hope to continue my running regimen into 2018. I was in the best shape of my life in 2015 when I was running regularly,…

Feel free to add me--my goal is 1200 and I've got about 15 lbs to go!
-
I feel the same way when I lose weight! Then I'll see a picture of myself and think, "Wow, that's me?!" A side note: Could it be the clothes you're wearing? If I wear looser/baggier clothes from when I still had the weight on me, I look bigger than I am.

Hi, I so understand what you're going through! I've had to travel a lot for work this year, and when I travel, I eat really, really badly. I'd reached my goal weight, but am far away from it right now. It felt like such a letdown to have achieved that goal and then be back where I used to be. Like you, I found myself…

Hi, I'm so sorry for your incredible loss. I can't imagine what you must be feeling. Do you have support for your grief? A support group or therapist can be a way to find people who know what you're going through and will not judge your grieving process. If that's too much right now, know that they do have online…

This is so understandable, as you can tell from the replies! We've all been there in some fashion or another. It sounds like you needed that break to get back on track, so good for you for taking care of yourself. I'm glad you didn't get the milkshake. You can totally do this. Baby steps. I'm sure you're already doing…

Totally your partner's loss! I'm an emotional eater, too. I like to indulge my other senses when I know I'm not hungry and am just looking for something to keep me busy. I like to light candles, listen to music, and/or read a book (but not TV, because TV makes me want to eat). Sometimes I find my mouth just wants to chew…

I'm 5'4, 140 lbs and want to be 125 lbs. I was there once not too long ago, then I fell off the logging wagon, and hope to get back to 125 soon again!

You can do it! I love your attitude. I got to my goal weight, moved to a new state, and am now back to trying to lose weight (sigh). We can do it together!

It could be muscle gain! Muscle weighs more than fat, so if you're doing a lot of muscle building, you'd see it in the scale. Have you been measuring yourself? That's a more effective way to see progress for those actively building muscle. Hopefully someone who's got more experience with this will chime in to help you!

I reached my goal, set another goal, reached that one, and am now on my third goal. :) This challenge has been awesome for me, and I want to thank all of you for sticking in there with me! Congrats to those who've reached their goals or are steadily chipping away, and to those not just there yet--keep going. You're doing…

Yes! This happened to me this weekend. Some people I know seemed to feel really threatened that I've lost weight, and weren't shy about letting me know. I let myself feel bad for about five minutes. After that I told myself the truth--that it was totally about them and their insecurity than about me and my weight loss.…

Oh, and I also listen to a podcast or something interesting to distract me so I don't feel like eating (I eat when bored).
-
I also like to eat on the road on my commute to and from work. What works for me is always having a big bottle of water filled up and a pack of gum. I chew gum and drink water the entire way home (or to work) and it helps. OTOH, if you really are hungry, eating a small snack like a granola bar to tide you over before you…

Welcome! Great job already getting to ONEderland! :)

These are cool! :)

You're so welcome! Everyone has tricky days/weeks/months/years...but that isn't where the story ends. :)
-
Glad I'm not the only one! Thanks for the tip on the Turkey Trot, too, @ACSL3. I hear you on eating on the long flights! I get motion sickness on long road trips, and eating sometimes helps me, too. Do you ever drink carbonated beverages? I found those to be more tummy settling than food on my last long road trip this…

So sorry to hear you're dealing with all of this. It sounds maddening, frustrating, and very depressing (ironically enough). As far as going off track with your food goes, I think that's totally understandable, and not really that damaging in the long term. It sounds like it was just a couple of days, and you can get back…
