Watch the serving sizes and calories in the salad dressings you use as some dressings contain a ton of fat and calories. Also watch your toppings. Change up your salads, adding lean protein and different types of fruit and veggies so you can hit your macro goals. Yes, salads are a great way to keep at a calorie deficit.
