@Ed_Zilla - what a great place to ride!!
-
@sharondesfor935 - it is the same basic engine underneath the covers, but the front ends, like MapMyRide and MapMyWalk let you track parameters specific to that particular activity.
-
@sharondesfor935, if you like the MapMyWalk app, there is also a MapMyRide version available for free also. I’ve been using it for years.

I’m 61, and 120 beats a minute would in my opinion not put me into an HIIT state. I would have to go more into the 150-160 range. The highest rate I have record in 5 years of riding is 165. So you can see that I am talking about close to maximum effort for the duration of your high intensity efforts.

Nice sunny January day yesterday. 34 miles

You also have to go into the app from your PC and setup your email preferences. I couldn’t find any way to do it from my iPhone anyway.

Glad your friend is OK. I hope she is able to conquer her fears and get back on a bike again and continue to ride.

Hello up there from Arkansas.
-
Simply amazing @peleroja. I bow down to your cycling cold weather greatness. I don’t think I would even get my unworthy self past the front door knob. 🙂
-
I don't think they even sell those in my part of the world. If I had ice for a contiguous period of time like you do I can see how it would be totally worth it. Here in Arkansas, I would be taking them off after three or four days. The ice would be gone by then. And obviously, you are fully prepared with the proper…
-
Being from Arkansas we have a much higher chance of having ice, than snow. Any snow we get is gone in a couple of days.

I’ll chime in with the others. Good job on riding in the cold. 40 degrees is just about my cut off. I’m too much of a wimp, even though @stevecro has tried to get me to go colder. Looks like a great place to ride and great pics.

Here is my new Trek Hybrid that I was able to select as a 25th anniversary award for the IT company I work for.

Log it and forget about. You can be better tomorrow. You don’t have to be perfect every day. Life happens. Be mindful of what you eat and try and enjoy the moment.

Man, if I ate that much cabbage, no one could stand to be around me because of gas. Hope your system handles it better.

Buy a food scale and log everything you eat, and set a calorie limit for the day. You will see how quickly snack foods use up your daily calorie limit and that will help. Not to say you can’t still have one little snack, just make it fit into your calorie goal.

I’m ambidextrous as well. Although I prefer right. That is my dominate hand
