Not really. I lost a few pounds in high school. The easiest way to do that is to try and throw in some extra gym or weight lifting classes into your schedule. My high school had a weight lifting class that anyone could enroll in. It was really awesome. I got really strong.

It's a not a big deal unless you notice a trend. If I eat a few over, I just log it and move on. If I eat a lot over, I burn part or all of it off through exercise. It's really up to you.

I just want to say that I read this. I empathize, and I truly have no idea what you're going through or what that is even like. I think your support group is a great idea. You may, asa others have said, find an ED counselor because it is an ED, from what I understand. If extreme weightloss is anything to go buy, I would…

Yes. Depends on where I'm at. If I can't get the weight to move, I'll fast. But my fasting is closer to going on a liquid diet for a few days. I've been on a 66/33 liquid/solid diet for almost a month. About time for me to come off it. It's done what I wanted it to do which was to very rapidly get out of the obese catagory…

Jan - March 2015. But I'm an oddity. I haven't been fat that long. A bit over weight for about 5 years, but managing it somewhere between 180 and 199. Then I moved into a relatives house during my move. They cook every night and every morning. Really fattening stuff. So went from 199 to 225 in 2 months. Just now getting…

Love it.

Nice. I am a stick. My measurements are exactly the same all the way down, and they always have been. For that reason, nothing is bigger or smaller than anything else. I have to keep taking pictures becuase I can't see the fat otherwise!

Depends on how much you have to lose. If you only need to lose 5 pounds . . . maybe not. If you need to lose a lot . . . then yes. I lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks in June. Ran out of healthy food money. Maintained. Then lost 12-13 in the last 26 days.

I turn down my AC, put on more clothes. But I am cold natured at any weight. Also you may want to rule out circulation problems.

5 . .I'll be there by the end of next week.

I loathe the way I look. I do not hate myself. Focus on your positives. Like . . um . . for me I work from home - I love this. I make my own schedule. It's great. Hardly any stress. I've lost 20 pounds - not where I want to be. I think the weight loss is slow, but I'm not 20 pounds heavier. My drains are fixed. A neighbor…

It's delicious!!!!!!!!! It's a giant cookie baked in a foil tin. their brownies are freaking awesome too . . . . I wish I had a brownie.

I don't worry about being a few hundred calories under my goal. I only worry when it's under 1200. But there's a good chance I miscalculated something so I just let it go for the most part.
-
hahahahaa . . . a tire . . . aparently
-
Yep. This should be closer to 1300-1400. Anything under 1200 can be dangerous.
-
Not really. It just matters that you do work out. So whatever works with your schedule.

Thanks everyone. Yeah, something has got me riled up. Dunno what it is yet. but I need to figure it out before this becomes a regular event. At least I can see it.
-
thanks. I'm getting there. 36 pounds before I hit my healthy range and 59 before I hit my ideal body weight. In 2 pounds, I will be out of the obese category. That was the wake-up call. At 5'9" it is very hard to see OBESE. My jeans are a size 14. You wouldn't think that would be obese. But they wrap around my hips and my…

I hope so too. I never thought it was too late to get healthy, but 30% kidney function. I think it's too late for her. And this was fast. Last year this time, her kidneys were fine. 90% or so. Today . . . 30%... And at this point there is no advice I can give her. No one knows what a diabetic, heart disease, kidney failure…

Prediabetes is best controlled by exercise. (Not a doctor) my sister-in-law found some info on exercise for blood sugar control. I don't know where she found it, but aparently you can do X amount of a treadmille and lower your blood sugar by X number of points. You can test it for yourself by stabbing/testing yourself…

You can do it. You can change right now and go on about your life. My mom was just like you. Went from 130 to 380. We begged her to lose weight starting when she was about 35. She never did. Something else was always more important than her health. Fast forward 20+ years later, and she's 260. She started losing weight…

11 to 14 percent body fat. Typically. My sister couldn't even get them with 5% (don't do 5%). She eventually got skin surgery and lipo on her stomach but still does not have a six-pack. You really have to can the carbs and the salt. A 6-pack diet is not pleasant. It's a 24 hour regiment.
-
Physically? Mentally? or both. I cleaned up my diet really really well a few years ago and ate a peice of cake after about 6 weeks. I thought i was dying.

I used to work retail. I'd take my 8 hour days . . figure I stood around 3 hours with lunch and breaks and being lazy and would do 60 * 5 * 3 = 900

Cool. My favorite gym was always Golds Gym but LA fitness also works all right. The LA fitnesses around me though cater to the hoity toity. SO . . . you may want to view a few gyms before you decide.

Good luck. Hopefully they got you scheduled for some PT. I had a major abdonimal surgery in 2009. No PT. I ended up hiring a personal trainer because I was having problems walking due to the back pain. I lost all my core strength. It took about a year and a half before I was normal. And many more years before I had…

<--- Indiana And I've lived in Kentucky. the latter - never never never never never again. OMG....

whatever you prefer. If I ate before a morning workout, I'd puke. If you don't puke, eat. If you do . . don't.

Yes. They are fine. What they do is keep your body out of balance. Your body adjusts to everything you do to it. The theory behind a cheat day is that it stimulates your metabolism to burn. I'm not doing them right now. I probably should be. But there's no binge money in my budget atm.

I do a liquid breakfast these days and my stomach is fine. I have lactose intolerance and IBS, and blending a bunch of fruit with yogurt seems to work for me. Otherwise I think I wouldn't eat until after noon because that's when my stomach officially wakes up.
