I wish I had words of advice for the macro diet. These days I am struggling to count calories, struggling to exercise and struggling to care about it, while dreading taking a shower and seeing what I have become. I'm approaching 50, dreading the shorter days, drinking too much IPA and eating too many chips (I too love dark…

Wow - amazing results @angv22908. Congratulations on your hard work and dedication!

Thanks so much @katharmonic ! Accountability is key for me now as I reluctantly crawl back into shape. Sounds like a bit of a nightmare with your laundry room. I hope everything is good - we had that issue a few years ago at our house and an easily fixed clogged drain was the culprit. @quilteryoyo - I don't know your real…

November goal - 60km Progress to date: November 2 – 4 km November 3 – 4 km November 4 – 4.2 km November 7 – Killer core class with way too many squats (I can barely walk) November 9 – 4.8 km Glad for this group! Because my legs were so sore from yesterday's squat torture I almost didn't run. Then I remembered I had to log…

@martaindale - thank you! @quilteryoyo - good for you. All the best with that appointmtnt and you're right not to push yourself. No need for an injury.

Good luck Kimbeers!! I too started from the couch on Sunday. I ran Mon-Wed and it was hard. But it felt good! Today is break day for me.

November goal - 60 km Progress to date: November 2 – 4 km November 3 – 4 km November 4 – 4.2 km Good progress for me, but it's 17 degrees and sunny here in Toronto so I'll be dining on a patio for lunch. My calories will be way over for today. But it'll be worth it.

Thankfully I am off this week - woohoo! Great run this morning. It's 17 degrees here in Toronto so I am out for lunch on a patio. This does not bode well for my calories today  . Have a good day all and enjoy your webinar/coffee.

@katharmonic - happy birthday! Congrats on the great progress so far this month. You'll have to let us know how the specific start time works. It sounds so much better than the usual chaos of starting a run, but I really wonder how they will manage it. Good luck with your training.

Half way there is great! I am just starting (again). Covid has been a kick in the butt for me in terms of my eating and exercise. And the winter is just beginning......I just started my personal 'program' on Monday. So far so good

Hi All, I'm new to the group but looking for some accountability! My goals are: 1. Track every day and stay pretty much on track 2. Run 15km/week 3. Start doing just a little bit with weights - even though I hate weights!

Thank you @shanaber and @polskagirl01!

Hi @Tanie98 - I am with you on the counting. Because I am a small person (short, small frame) my maintain calories are still very low. I've gone through the cycle a few times of losing and gaining about 5 pounds and the gain always comes when I let my guard down and stop counting the calories. I'm in lose mode right now…

Hi @mshawski - I'm also trying out the forums as a way to stay engaged and keep on track with my goals. Good luck with yours!

Hi @quilteryoyo - thank you for your kind words and welcome. I am definitely looking forward to the group. I'm sorry to hear about the postponement of your surgery - let's hope those numbers go down soon.

Hi All, I thought I'd stop to introduce myself. today is the first time I've posted! At 46 I'm nicely in the middle aged category. However I never felt middle aged until this year. I stopped running in November 2019 for a variety of reason and long with the covid weight gain, I'm feeling pretty crappy! Looking to get back…

Hi All, I'm late to the party here, as I just found this thread. In fact this is my first post on myfitnesspal! I haven't run since November 2019, for a variety of reasons. I used to run a competent 10k but after a year's break I feel like I'm a beginner again. To get back in shape I'm going for 15 km per week (60 km for…

Hi littlenfit22. I'm in a similar situation to you (pescetarian but limit fish to 1-2 days per week; 1,200 calories after exercise is subtracted). I'm just starting to add weights to my fitness routine as previously all I did was run. I'm also just starting to explore my protein needs and have been calculating which foods…
