My first marathon, I did no lifting and regretted it so much. I had severe low back pain. Then I started lifting and it really helped. ThickMcRun gave excellent advice.

My staple is David Swenson's Yoga Short Forms DVD. It's Ashtanga with 3 practices: 15min., 30min., and 45 min. Someone recommended this DVD years ago, and I never tire of it.

My first and favorite yoga DVD is David Swenson's Ashtanga Yoga Short Forms. It's filmed peacefully outside with voice over instruction. If you wanted music, you could put your own on.
