  • I tested so strongly as INTJ that my roommates couldn't understand how I was surviving waiting tables. Then I put on my "work" persona and resulted in ENFP. Even having moved on to an engineering job (hallelujah) I never want to see another living being after work.
  • Sounds delicious. Know any recipes that aren't dependent on tomatoes?
  • Now that I'm familiar with ;)
  • I'm not familiar with courgette. Can you describe it?
  • Spicy Chipotle-Orange Squash did really well with some breakfast sausage patties. Ingredients 1 small acorn squash (2 lbs) 1/4 water 2 Tbs butter, melted 1 tsp grated orange peel (1 small navel orange) 3 Tbs fresh orange juice (from navel orange above) 1/2 tsp salt 1 chipotle chili in adobo sauce, finely chopped MOP: 1)…
  • I've been learning to make extra side dish portions. Tomorrow I'm planning on left over roasted Brussels sprouts with a Sriracha aioli.
  • I've never been able to stand the smell of prepared tomatoes. I got really good at cheese and wine sauces! Also, red bell pepper is a pretty good substitute.
  • Evaluate what caused you to stop the last three times. Dehydration? Get a good water bottle. Injury? Find the right support wrap. Bored? Try Zombies Run or make an epic playlist. Agree with signing up for the 5k. It helped me know there was an "end" I was working toward, though I kept running a while after. Adjust those…
  • Forced myself to stop eating out of the cheez it box for that reason. Now I try to only carry drinks into the living room.
  • Had asthma as a kid, but mostly outgrew it before I started C25k. I try to avoid running on days where environmental factors could trigger an attack (cold and dry is my kryptonite). I also concentrate on breath training the first few weeks so I don't gasp at the end of an interval. You can do it, but be smart and carry…
  • Met all my fitbit goals.
  • How exciting! Our son is just 10 weeks old now. :) My input is to cook and freeze your favorite one-handed foods now. We fell into the frozen convenience food trap and learned there's only so many Hot Pockets a person can take. The crock pot was amazing for making entrees with left overs and the plastic liners are…
  • Ignore the folks telling you that pregnancy is a time of chocolates and ice cream - I know at least *someone* has! :-) Carrying snack packs of veggies can help quiet cravings. My favorites were sugar snap peas and broccoli. Classics are carrots and sliced bell peppers. Or peeled cucumber with a sprinkle of salt. Added…
  • I hear this nearly every time the discussion of weight or health comes up and boy, does it hurt. I get the dirty "get real" looks and "where?!" is the most popular response. Well, everywhere! I've got 25 extra pounds distributed between waist, butt, thighs, breasts (yay?), knees, feet and hands. I'm flattered that folks…
